On Saturday (November 12) the first ones in line arrived around 7am, I think.
BEWARE: the rush tickets are box seats with TERRIBLE sight lines. Sitting in the left boxes, you miss about 40% of the stage, and you can't see anything in front of the lockers or in Kimberly's bedroom (view is blocked by lighting equipment). And the box office person doesn't warn you the seats are partial view.
I did rush earlier in previews and got seat B9, which was really good because I could see directly into Kimberly’s bedroom, and the only scene with blockage was anything on the far right next to the door. Which was practically none. Also it was amazing to see the (spoiler) scene of Kimberly after her medical scare up close. I will say after the great reviews it’s likely that rush will be more difficult. I think I arrived 50 minutes before curtain for that rush ticket, and had a wonderful time!
I rushed on Saturday too. As was mentioned, the first group said they got there around 7. I got there around 8:15 and was 8th (with my Mom being 9th). The person in front of me said he got there around 8.
By the time the box office opened, the line stretch from the entrance all the way down the side of the theatre to the border between the Booth and Schoenfeld.
Of the first 9 of us, everyone except 1 guy got evening tickets. We got the last 3!
They were all in the boxes. I was Box RIght, seat A1 and I had a lot of electrical stuff right in front of me, but I was able to look around and through it to see most things. My Mom was B4, the further back seat in the box and she had the best view. My Sister was in A2 and that was definitley the worst seat.

There are two different things, rush and lottery. WIth rush, you have to go to the theatre early then, when the box office opens, a determined number of people (it can change show to show) will be allowed to purchase up to two $40 tickets to that day's performances.
With lottery, you enter at rush.telecharge.com. The lottery opens at midnight and closes at 3:00 pm. There are two drawings, 9:00 am (if you enter before 9) and 3:00 pm (all times in EST). The tickets are for the next day's performances. So right now, at 12:20 am on Saturday morning, the lottery is open for Sunday performances.
To add more data to the mix, did the Akimbo lottery for Tue Jan 3 and won 1 seat (first and only attempt) — sat in Row G, Orchestra Centre, Aisle seat 117.
I won the online rush for Sunday, February 5 (matinee 3:00 p.m.) performance and was given ORCHESTRA RIGHT Row BB, Seat 8.
Given reviews of the seat, I asked the box office 5 minutes before curtain if they would move me, and they were not willing to (and denied it was obstructed view). It was certainly obstructed view during the "living room" scenes, but other than that, it was incredible to be front row! I did end up moving to an open seat in the orchestra at intermission, but would have been happy to stay in my originally assigned seat for the second half, had the theatre been full.

This is what spooks me. I'd like to get some cheap tickets, but I don't want to end up with awful seats where we're missing half the show. That's not really a bargain.
Is the lottery a better bet? Another option. of course, is TKTS, which has the obvious disadvantage of interrupting our day to stand in line at the TKTS booth (on a Thursday). But prices and locations could be better than buying tickets on Telecharge now.
I've never seen a show at the Booth. It's obviously a small theater. Is there anyplace I should try to avoid and any good bargains? I don't necessarily mean the cheapest tickets, but just good value for the money given the theater and the show.
You obviously understand the tradeoffs in play in that the cheapest tickets are neither guaranteed nor are the seats you'll get and TKTS will get you some value and seat selection, but at the price of your time.
Short of those options or using the available discounts to buy now and select your seat, Today's Tix offers you the only remaining choice: get a bit more off than the available discount codes, but have your seat selection limited to a general area of the theater.
I opted for using the available discount codes to buy a center mezz weekday evening seat on the aisle for $94 instead of the $72 it likely would run at TKTS.
Won the digital lottery for the matinee on Wednesday, 2/22. The tickets were front-row dead center.
Arrived 8:30 in the morning for in-person rush on Saturday, 2/25. I asked the gentleman at the box office if they would sell front row as rush, and they sold me BB (which was front row) on the right side. I was in the seat closest to the center in that section and didn’t experience any obstruction, but the seats father house-right would have been somewhat obstructed.
Recent rush report: went to the Wed. May 17 matinee. Bought two tickets at 11am - there was tons available. We got mezz row B seats 9 and 11 for $40 each. Great view, great price, great show.
Box office says they rarely sell out of rush tickets anymore except sometimes on Saturday/Sunday. Otherwise there's no need to line up - go anytime and buy a great ticket.
I rushed on Sunday, 4/30. It was raining that morning, and got to the box office at 11:15am. There were 5 people already there, and we were able to stand under the awning and not get wet when the box office opened at Noon. My seat was front row Mezz, seat 2 right on the aisle for $40.
I won a lotto seat for Orch Row BB Seat 1 - the stage looks high in photos from 'view from my seat' - should I be prepared for a obstructed/partial view?
