She is also out tonight.
Currently planned absences are being covered by Julie. Ephie will be on as Fanny for the January 12th performance.

Best wishes and hopes for a quick recovery for Lea! No shows tomorrow so hopefully that allows her to get better.
Was her absence Friday night confirmed? Not on Instagram.
UPDATE: Yes, confirmed by the show on Instagram.
$2,405,901.00.

When is the last time a star has come in and just COMPLETELY resuscitated a dying show? These numbers are truly astonishing.

Not a surprising total for New Year's week, but still a striking figure, even as Julie Benko played last Monday's performance AND both performances last Friday.

Reba McIntire causing the 1999 revival of Annie Get Your Gun's grosses to basically double once she joined the cast for the final 6 months of its run.

I want to see her so badly…but can’t justify $119 for the lowest price. oh well.

I saw an ad saying $69 - but maybe that's for Julie. They do have lotteries where the price is $45 if you win. Fingers crossed you can somehow work it out.

I see the $69 tickets which are indeed for Julie’s performances, and am well aware of the lottery. I’ve been entering every week.

When Reba took over Bernadette had won a Tony and the show ran for about a year with her. It was not a mess like Funny Girl was. Reba was fantastic but Funny Girl was basically about to close because the "star" was miscast and the show was not sustaining. and it was only 6 months into the run. I think Lea deserves all the kudos for saving this show with her performance. It was quite a different circumstance than Rebas! I saw Reba btw and it was one of my favorite Broadway memories....

And she has been getting kudos by way of rave reviews, breaking the theater Box office record...what do you expect her to get? An award?

My point was that Reba was not entering a sinking ship and having to turn it around to keep people employed. Not that Lea was not getting the praise she deserved. I guess you missed my point. But if you need to argue ,,,I an here for you love

Anyone know if they're still doing standing room for this show?

FABULOUS commercial for the show as posted on twitter! Haven't seen it on TV yet. I'm wondering what it's airing on. They have to release this on YouTube and Socials!!

I was also just coming here to ask that. Maybe I'll look into it for tonight or sometime this weekend.

Well it looks like they are, but only if a show is sold out https://playbill.com/article/broadway-rush-lottery-and-standing-room-only-policies-com-116003

I saw it on TV yesterday (Thursday) on ABC during Jeopardy; it will likely air there with some frequency.
What an incredible commercial. The production must be so proud and delighted that such a talented star saved this show and elevated it beyond anything I thought this show could be.
BRAVO!

Saw it last night on either the 5 or 6 news on Channel 4 in NYC.

I would have replaced one of the reviewer blurbs with the headline of the box office record and ended by sweeping the camera from Lea’s final bow to the cheering packed house. Success breeds success. People need people,
