That Today Show performance was adorable! The revised lyrics were pretty funny as well; "Well, the girls should know that they have to share when I'm rocking my mullet and my sultry stare". If you watch the other clips it's also great to hear "It's Your Wedding Day" as the segue in and out of the segments. I wonder where David Josefsberg was though?
Also, I found out today that Dennis Stowe gave his notice yesterday- the day before his first performance. How crazy is that?

Posted: 10/5/06 at 7:12pmDoes anyone have any experience of sitting in the box seats or know someone who does? I did have tickets for second row, but then a well-connected freind of mine was able to get box seats from someone he knows.

Posted: 10/5/06 at 7:15pmI've never been in box seats..but I'd imagine that they were more roomier than regular orchestra seats. However, I think second row is a lot better than box seats.

Posted: 10/5/06 at 7:17pmI agree, 2nd row is much better. Box seats are all the way on the sides and, while roomier, sometimes have obstructed sight lined.

He gave his notice already?? Jeez.
Take 2nd row. I've never been in the box seats at the Hirschfeld, but I just don't like box seats.

id also take 2nd row, but box seats are still cool
i had box seats when i saw COLOR PURPLE, and its cool because you see everything in a sort of "big picture" way, and it is VERY room and comfortable :)
but yeah, i would LOVE to get front row for WEDDING SINGER
i think i would have a heart attack if Amy smiled at me
and i would get a good view during "A Note From Linda" of Felicia when she does the whole bending down thing... :P yeah, im a perverted young man

I knew Angelique was in ACL, but I didn't know who she was. Pretty cool.

Posted: 10/5/06 at 9:29pmI know! She apparently used to be good and now she's....an ensemble member. An ensemble member that everyone seems to hate. Pity.

I thought it was a good show. When it first started we were like "This is gonna give Broadway a run for it's money." Unfornately it didn't win any Tonys (how stupid) but I still love "It's Your Wedding Day" and "Casualty of Love".
Did you know Rita Gardner was in the original Fantasticks? I saw it and they had a poster of her.
I thought that Liza Minneli was the Marianne from Gilligan's Island. Shows how great my eyesight is. o.o

[As I try to figure out what Liza Minelli and Gilligan's Island have to do with anything...]
I have a really cute article and picture with Rita and Sara Jean Ford (current Luisa), but it's too big to scan.

Posted: 10/5/06 at 11:17pmDoes anyone know if Nicolette went on as Holly this week or is scheduled to go on this weekend? Cara's on vacation and I know it's rare for Amy to do all 8 shows.

I've sat in the box seats at Wedding Singer, if you have seen the show before, it's awesome!
Let's you see into the wings, and see a lot of stuff you would miss sitting in the orchestra.
And also, was Stephen back in the show tonight?
#2963re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.
Posted: 10/5/06 at 11:35pmNo, Kevin went on again tonight. He said at the stage door the other day he thought he might be on through Friday, that Stephen was really sick. I don't know if he meant he'd go on Friday or if Stephen might be back Friday though.

Posted: 10/6/06 at 1:43amIt must have been Nick Kenkel then who was missing. I saw the segment on the MSNBC website and the ensemble was all small and blurry in the back so it was hard to tell.

Posted: 10/6/06 at 3:02amI just finished watching the Today show segment. My mom thankfully taped it for me. Constantine seems like he's an awesome Sammy. I need to see the show again soon.

Posted: 10/6/06 at 7:17amAnd about the seating thing: I always love sitting in front. If I sit in the Mezz. I feel: A- Jealous that I'm not sitting in the Orchestra . And B- Kinda far away.

Haha I'm not sure if I followed every part of this the right way.
As far as ensemble members being missing, I think you're talking about the performance on the Today show. Nick was never in 'Single', except for Broadway on Broadway, unless since they brought in the new fake Mr. T. and didn't put him in 'Single' then they would put Nick in since he's the only male ensemble member left. The ensemble guys in it were T, Matt Allen, Matthew Stocke, Joberg, and then obviously Eric and Peter, but since I haven't seen the show since they brought in the new replacement for T I don't know what it is now. But since Michael McGurk was on the Today Show there was somebody missing, the spot T used to be in.
And who gave his notice that he's leaving the show?!?

Hey I asked this before but nobody could give me an answer
Is there going to be any karaoke CDs or sheet music available for the wedding singer? I mean it seems like a certainty but I'm wondering when?
If anybody knows any new news it would be nice.
