At this point, he’s been out for roughly 2 consecutive weeks.
They even brought back Dylan Paul to be a Christian/Duke cover since Aaron C. Finley left on 9/21,Christian Douglas isn’t cleared for two show days yet post-concussion, and Christian Probst (the new C/D cover) doesn’t even have costumes yet, let along sufficient rehearsal.
They allegedly tried to see if they could bring David Harris back early, but he’s on vacation before he returns next week."
Taye Diggs was such a strange attempt at stunt casting here. He hasn't been on Broadway in a decade -- and his last appearance was generally thought to be a disaster -- and his career has been fairly cool for a while now. He's been known to be unreliable on stage in the past too, so it's not a huge surprise if he's unofficially left early. Whom did the production expect would be rushing to get tickets based on his presence?
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
