Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of any great male-male duets, fast or slow for a tenor and a bass? The only ones I can think of so far are "What You Own" and "Agony", any help is appreciated!
Lily's Eyes from Secret Garden.
"The Proposal" from TITANIC... dunno if it's tenor/base though...
No More - Into The Woods (more or less) I guess this is tenor bass.... if not it's close
On The Right Track - Pippin ... this is tenor tenor

Guttersnipe from Taboo
Javert and Valjeans Confrontations from Les Miserables
that song Michael Arden sings "N & R" about falling in love on the subway...and I've had so many "N & R" moments
I CAN SEE IT from THE FANTASTICKS. Not quite tenor/bass, but a tenor and a bass could, easily, handle it.
"Both Sides of the Coin" from Drood
"What Would I Do?" from Falsettos
"I Am the Starlight" from Starlight Express
"All for the Best" from Godspell
"Once in Awhile" from Rocky Horror
"You're Nothing Without Me" from City of Angels
"I Can See It" from Fantasticks
Um, "I'll Cover You" from Rent.
I have no idea about the voice parts, but my favorite duet for two men is "You're Nothing Without Me" from City of Angels.
Oh, and "It Would Have Been Wonderful" from A Little Night Music is ...well, pretty wonderful...
Um... Consider Yourself from Oliver?
The Riddle Song from Floyd Collins. One's a tenor, but the other I believe is a high baritone so that may not help.
There's a song from Damn Yankees that I can't think of...
"The Thrill of First Love" from March of the Falsettos
"Gabriel's Letter" from KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN.
I'm surprised nobody's thought to mention the three male/male duets from The Producers: We Can Do It, Where Did We Go Right, and Till Him
YOU'RE TIMELESS TO ME, FROM HAIRSPRAY!
There are two great male-male duets in Martin Guerre :
Live with somebody you love
If you still love me
You and I from Bare
"You're Nothing Without Me" - City of Angels
How about the "I Don't Remember You" and "Sometimes A Day Goes By" sequence from And The World Goes 'Round. That gives each a solo that then is layered into and AMAZING duet.

"Without you as a friend" - MARTIN GUERRE
"In his eyes" - JEKYLL & HYDE. Just change 'his' to 'her'.
"Schadenfreude" - AVENUE Q

"The Country's in the Very Best of Hands" from Li'l Abner. Good comic number, and I think the parts are tenor and bass.
You walk with me- The Full Monty
The Boy from Oz has a few:
Love Don't Need a Reason
If You Were Wondering
Love Crazy
That Guy from Blood Brothers
Lost in the Wilderness from Children of Eden
We'll Take a Glass Together from Grand Hotel
Song on the Sand from La Cage
Mushnik and Son from Little Shop
Well.. Ill cover you is NOT a Tenor/bass duet. its more about Tenor/Baritone Collins sings too high to be a Bass, so maybe he is a baritone. but I KNOw he is not a bass.
