Just caught the performance on the Macy's parade. I'm so glad they changed Annie's wig - this one looks much more natural and less....wig-like. I was shocked at how bad Harry Connick was. He has a great retro-quality to his voice but he seems to have an extremely limited range - many notes were 'opted down' to a lower octave. Still looking forward to seeing the final product tonight. EDIT: I realized this airs next Thursday not tonight, woops :)

I was also very surprised by his limited and very wooden performance. When he was cast, I thought he'd be perfect but he just seems uncomfortable. Celina seems like a perfect Annie and her singing was great.

I enjoyed the dancing and Celina’s singing. Harry looked a bit like a work in progress.
Very confused by the digital ad at the top of this page that says “The sun’ll come out TONIGHT 8/7c”…odd that a slip up like that is happening a week out.

I'm looking at the ad on this website as I type this message and it clearly says 'TONIGHT'. That is why in my message yesterday I said I was excited to see it tonight (yesterday). Glad I'm not going crazy lol.

Easier this way:
Glad we’re not alone in this, FANtomFollies. I took screenshots myself just to be sure, lol.
I got the same ad saying TONIGHT on playbill.com as well

Anyone that applied for tickets hear back yet?

They clearly stated 2-3 days prior so people should be getting emails Monday or Tuesday.

Yeah I know. I just didn’t know if that was a firm or general timeframe

I received an email from the company on Wednesday requesting more information- specifically, whether my guest was a minor or an adult, and the vaccination status of us both.

Regarding broadway news this week, it just feels dirty and trashy to watch this now.

JFC, no one is being forced to watch anything. Feel free to wear black and sit Shiva all week if that's your personal preference.

No, it does not. If ever we needed a bit of joy, it's now.
With this logic, all of Broadway should be shut down. Theatre all over the world should pause. But it hasn’t and it shouldn’t.
Hope everyone enjoys this! I look forward to it.

I got bad news for you sweetie. The world doesn't cease and stop dead in its tracks because Stephen Sondheim passed away.
Life goes on.

Sondheim would never want live performances and musicals to stop just to spend more time missing him. I'll probably watch everything with a fresher eyes these next few weeks because I'll appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship. Regardless of whether or not he's part of the production.
