"TheatreDiva90016 - another good reason to frequent these boards less."<<>> “I hesitate to give this line of discussion the validation it so desperately craves by perpetuating it, but the light from logic is getting further and further away with your every successive post.” <<>> -whatever2

And some poor Chinese baby won't be adopted and land in the lap of luxury because a musical about Marilyn Monroe is more important. But looking at this family with a mother who sleeps around, a father whose only discernible talent is the ability to chop lettuce and a half-wit son who hides out at a friend's house, maybe the baby is better off where it is.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I tried searching for it myself, but what's the website with the Q&A about how real the situations in the show are?

Oh Dear Lord, someone wrote a song regarding the "I'm in Tech" situation.

LOL! I can just see and hear McPheever singing it now.

It would have been much better if he had resisted rhyming "tech" with "dreck."

"My love has gone to dreckitude, 'cause I was in the techie mood."

Missed opportunity!

E Davis - Thanks so much for linking the song here. The YouTube had almost died off and you revived it.

About the "dreck" rhyme, my cousin almost screamed at me for not thinking of rhyming "tech" with "Shrek" in honor of Brian D'Arcy James.

For people who know a little bit about Marilyn Monroe, but want to know more, this biography is worth watching. The interviews with people like Susan Strasberg and Don Murray are great.
Marilyn A&E Bio
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Favorite line from tonight's episode thus far:

McPhee to Uma: "Well, i just don't want anyone to get hurt"

Uma to McPhee: "Then lets just get out of show business Karen ! "

Loved the 9 TO 5 reunion of Marc Kudisch and Megan Hilty.

Did anyone else notice what Marc Shaiman was playing on the piano in the background before Anjelica sang "September Song?" It was "Butter Out Of Cream" from CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!

Thought Anjelica was outstanding with her song...was worth the wait of an entire season for her to finally get a song. Love her so much.

I loved their fight scene.

I think this show succeeds far better in its real dramatic moments.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I f i hear the line, "are you okay ?", asked by one more character......

You do know that Anjelica's grandfather, Walter, sang September Song in Knickerbocker Holiday on B'way, right? Nice sentimental moment.
