Thanks, Ermengarde... I think that's what I've pieced together too but you laid it all out very neatly.
It's all just very weird doing everything by halves. I like Miranda and love Kander & Ebb so this seems like a no-brainer for me... but I would like to know what I'm getting... at least to some extent. Give me a reason to show up... don't be coy!

100%!!! Clyde - sexier and Janet - sassier are far more interesting performers... both of them from the clips just seem so so eh nothing special. Clyde and Janet have better voices as well. Colton is soooooooooo boring in everything that I've seen so far associated with this musical. Uzele doesn't impress either....Big questions here is: Why them? Here that Stro?"
Or they could have got Mike Faist to do it. It would typecast him in another musical where he's an abusive jerk but he fits that time period a lot more.
There's absolutely no buzz for this show. Neither Ryan or Uzele will sell tickets. Unless this gets raves, I can't see it lasting past Labor Day.

A formidable actor who sings very well and is an interesting actor to watch. I think he will have a very solid film and television career. He, like Johnathan Groff, had some good teachers along the way."
I learned about Colton Ryan back in 2017 when he was one of the standbys at Dear Evan Hansen. Colton performed a few times when Ben Platt was out and he was great!
Colton was also in the Pirates of Penzance concert back in October and he did a great job. Loved his singing and energy!

Debating getting $130 mezzanine seats for my family for this show with the Presidents day seatgeek discount. But looking at the dates available, the show doesn’t seem to be selling well yet. Should I wait for a better deal/lower prices? I am going in June. Any thoughts would be welcome.

I received a 20% off SeatGeek email (Presidentsday20) and would have made my purchase for 2 tickets but the code maxes out at $25. So I am waiting as I think TKTS will offer better savings later.
I should have read the fine print first in the email. 😉
*Promo code is only valid for one purchase through Mon, 2/20, up to a maximum savings of $25.

Colton is incredible and gorgeous. He was the highlight in Girl From the North Country, Little Voice and The Girl from Plainville for me. I can't wait to see him in this, everything about it looks great.

I nearly spit out my matcha making it look like Oscar the Grouch puked on my table. Thank you for that

I am personally excited about a song-and-dance show with a big cast and a 19-piece orchestra. I happen to love "Curtains" and "Steel Pier".

Honestly it makes me miss the "it" factor Liza has in her version. I guess you can't compare."
My thought also. I just couldn't come up with what it was. I kept coming up with the word "urgency". Her version, at least in this trailer, is missing that. And it makes me wonder how her "But the World Goes Round" will be. I am still looking forward to seeing it and plan to be there the first week of previews.
I am looking forward to seeing it too. Coincidentally I just started watching Dear Edward on Apple TV and Anna Uzele has one of the starring roles. She is very good in it so far. If you like character driven dramas this fits the bill. Brian D’arcy James and Judy Kuhn each appear in an episode too.

Colton always looks like he’s stoned out of his mind in photos lol
The show is up on audience rewards for only 5500 points which is pretty low. I hope their sales are able to pick up..

Where is Emily Skinner in these photos??
It was way early for her. You should know this by now
Is this like a huge sold-out sensation? Because I find it weird that a ticket to Sweeney Todd with actual names is 40 dollars cheaper than the same seat in that theater. Boo.

Nope. This isn't selling at all. Unless word-of-mouth is strong or it gets sold reviews, this has immediate flop written all over it.
Some orchestration:

Got tickets for June but Im afraid the show wont last that long. Sad cause I was pretty hyped for it myself.

I was excited to read this and logged into my AR account only to find . . . for every performance listed on AR the tickets for this offer are sold out. Disappointed.
It seems like it would attract the same crowd as Some Like It Hot and that seems to be struggling a little bit.
Got a mailer for this one today, and heard the new orchestration sneak peek. Sounds quite good so far.
Awesome! Please put it in the discount code thread. Thank you!
