New Merrily Pro-Shot? — Page 2

Yes, they’re filming it for the purpose of creating a proshot; but as we learned with something like Waitress, just having the footage doesn’t mean there’s a distributor. They’ll need to shop it aroundto find a buyer, and that could happen quickly or they may hold off and submit it to a festival at a later date.

Regardless, I’m glad there’s confirmation it’s being captured. It’s a genuinely excellent production, and it deserves this kind of treatment."

Case in point: Nick Jonas will probably be back on Broadway before the Jersey Boys proshot he starred in will be released.

At least Radicalmedia actually seems to have a decent track record of getting proshots distributed.

Agree. I also am inclined to think that Radcliffe makes this a more viable piece to be sold to an appletv or hbo."

Oh God please not Apple.

We want people to be able to actually see it, for Pete's sake.

They were on fire last night. I hadn't seen the show since October, stunning how much it had grown!

They can always subscribe for a month. Apple does not have a huge inventory, but they actually have quite a few shows that are very good.

So what are the odds that all 3 leads are in this Saturday matinee (when I see it)? If the filming days are before then, would some call out for the next matinee?

Please remember she is several months pregnant (~7 months). I think it's a guarantee all three leads will be there Thursday and Friday.

I wouldn't be surprised if she took Saturday off to rest and come back Sunday but who knows.

''With this Merrily pro-shot, hopefully they’ll find a distributor before the other Merrily movie comes out.''

The Linklater feature film of ''Merrily'' is reportedly being shot over 20 years, so it might not even be released until 2039.

In an interview with Variety last year, Ben Platt, who's playing Charley, said: “We shot the first sequence. The film is structured that it’s nine different sequences over 18 years, so we’ll see how we do. We’ve done the first one and the next one is coming this year. It’s wonderful.”

Happy to report all three leads were in today’s matinee and they were terrific!

I'll take it just to erase half those American accents from the current pro-shot out of my mind. I'll never recover.
