Laura Osnes?"
Laura Osnes definitely made her Broadway debut over a decade ago.

Oh sorry. I thought they meant their debut in Wicked. I’m tired and obviously not reading well. Lol.

She's also posted a couple 'clues' on her Instagram story.

Completely agree! I thought these message boards were for sharing updates and not playing a game of Clue :)

Well the investigation is over. Alison Luff (former Elphie) has wished her luck and she's followed by both GC and Hannah. Though this is REALLY unusual for it to be 10 days away and still no announcement.

Also, I’m so sad Hannah had such a short run. I know 9 months is the standard contract, but I wish she could’ve been given a 12 or 14 month contract like some these other long run elphabas.

It's a darn shame! She one of the best Elphabas I've ever seen in the show! It's a wonder this was her debut. How has no show ever snatched her up before? I hope she has a healthy career on Broadway to follow.
And it sucks that they make these announcements for close to the end of their run. It makes it very hard for anyone that wants to catch the current performers in the role before they depart to make it happen.

The Distinctive Baritone said: "Yeah I was curious to see how many Elphabas have had a longer run, and according to Playbill.com, hardly any of them have ever gotten contracts longer than around nine months, and they never get renewed, although they sometimes come back later for a short stint. It’s kind of weird."
Its more to due with the demands of the show. The Elphie role is incredibly taxing on the actress vocally. 9 months is enough for most without a break. Some have gone a year at a time (examples: Shoshana, Mary Kate Morrissey on tour, etc). But that's not standard. Glinda on the other hand can play forever and GC is such a natural at it I hope she's around a long time (long enough to reunite with Mary Kate in her broadway debut as Elphie).

I too hope Ginna Claire has a long run! Wonder what the longest Glinda record on Broadway is? I think I read Amanda Jane Cooper’s was over 2 years when the returned to repise the role? My hope is to see Ginna Claire reunite with Mary Kate Morrissey and Sam Gravitte still be Fiyero!
