I would love to see Talia Suskauer take over as Broadway Elphaba at some point. I saw her several times on tour and she blew me away. Maybe my favorite behind Jessica Vosk

Also, I’m so sad Hannah had such a short run. I know 9 months is the standard contract, but I wish she could’ve been given a 12 or 14 month contract like some these other long run elphabas."
I agree about Lindsay and Sam, same blue eyes and face shape. Sam actually has a twin sister who’s not into acting. I wish I’d had the chance to see Hannah and heard only positive reviews from her run. After her voice was injured I worried how long her run would be but I agree that they keep the contract’s to 9 months to allow the actors time to recover. Jessica Vosk and Jackie Burns have returned so hopefully Hannah will too.

Aren’t they fantastic? They have something special when they play their roles onstage together. Their real-Life friendship plays out beautifully. If you’re like myself and we’re lucky enough to see them on tour, you not only fell in love with their Elphie and Glinda but also their friendship. Love the double name witches!

Its more to due with the demands of the show. The Elphie role is incredibly taxing on the actress vocally. 9 months is enough for most without a break. Some have gone a year at a time (examples: Shoshana, Mary Kate Morrissey on tour, etc). But that's not standard. Glinda on the other hand can play forever and GC is such a natural at it I hope she's around a long time (long enough to reunite with Mary Kate in her broadway debut as Elphie)."
I too hope Ginna Claire has a long run! Wonder what the longest Glinda record on Broadway is? I think I read Amanda Jane Cooper’s was over 2 years when the returned to repise the role? My hope is to see Ginna Claire reunite with Mary Kate Morrissey and Sam Gravitte still be Fiyero!"
Amanda was more like 16.5 months. Started the last day of July 2017 and finished mid December 2018.
Longest run on Broadway is Katie Rose Clarke from January 2010 to September 2011, like 20-21 months I think. She did take around a months medical leave in Early 2011 and Laura Woyasz went on for the whole month, but even with that her run is still a few months longer I guess Amanda has the longest uninterrupted run though!
The crazy thing is that both of them had just come off the back of long tour stints too, with only a few months break before going to Broadway. Katie was on tour Dec 2007-Aug 2009, while Amanda was on the road Dec 2015-Mar 2017. That's crazy stamina from both of them!
Anyone know what’s going on with Ginna Claire? Brittany Johnson just posted that she’s gonna be on for Glinda for almost every show between March 3rd and March 26th

Brittney is an excelling Glinda. I haven't seen GIna Claire but I hope she's okay. I guess the new understudy will get some Glinda dates!

According to her instagram, it looks like a bunch of her family are in town. I wonder if they are going on a vacation or something.

GC’s leave doesn’t begin for another week though

She was out Thursday night when I saw the show and I know that she was out for at least one other performance since. Not sure about the other performances since I saw or performances this week.

But now that I look at the photos, most of the Galinda ones are not Kara? Maybe it was a typo and they put the wrong actress’ name as Galinda?
Celia just posted on IG that she will be on all weekend matinees in March . I've been following her since her Phantom days and we have a good mutual friend . Very happy for her !

I’m hoping to see Talia and Allison Bailey as leads in Columbus when the tour stops there. I saw Allison in the ensemble twice and have heard she and Talia are wonderful in the lead roles!

Hopefully a vacation and rest. I don’t know how vacations work on Broadway. On the tours it appears they can have one week off at a time. Ginna Claire seems right in her element playing Glinda! Hope she has a very long run!
Lindsay is stunningly beautiful. It was the first thought I had when she entered. She's a softer, darker Elphaba and had several genuinely wonderful scene/acting moments. She's funny, and her Elphaba reminds me of a more modern misfit. One of the better I have seen in the acting department! Her voice is beautiful and emotive. The Wizard and I and Defying Gravity were about 80-90% there, she just needs to find her stride and based on her visibly shaking hands, I think nerves contributed. That being said, they were still really solid vocal deliveries, and they improved as the show went on. I'm Not That Girl was beautiful - loved her lows. No Good Deed was absolute fire and her best number by a mile. She and Ginna Claire already seem to play really well off each other :)
Sam was also like...excellent. He sings beautifully, he looks great, and his Fiyero is layered, perceptive, and introverted. I really loved him and look forward to seeing him grow into the role.

I honestly feel like this almost always the case with new Elphaba's on their first show. People generally find their Wizard and I / Defying Gravity not quite there but good, and then No Good Dead to be AMAZING. I think that first show takes until about No Good Deed for them to feel confident haha.
