Worthington-Cox also was not on as Natalie today per @westendcovers on Twitter.
The filming must have been pretty intense and Worthington-Cox has been missing performances the last few weeks, although Lizzie Parker is reported to be very very good as Natalie.
I just returned from seeing it, and I can confirm that Carolyn was OUTSTANDING as Diana tonight! Lizzy Parker was also amazing as Natalie! The production overall was INCREDIBLE! Met Michael Longhurst after the show, and I asked him if Broadway is next, and he said it's definitely his main goal. So, I hope plans go through and an announcement is made soon!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

Yes, it’s the money. Because there’s nothing more bankable than a revival of next to normal without any famous people. Invest in this if you can. It’ll run for decades!
Ok so I just got home from the evening performance. My lord Caissie Levy is amazing as Diana. I saw her as Fantine on Broadway and while she was good there it was a smaller role in terms of stage time. Tonight she was pretty much on the stage the whole show. From the 4th row I could see all the emotions and every little nuance of her performance. She is literally putting her whole body into the show.
it was my first west end show since 2012. I have to say the audience was much better behaved than Broadway and it was so nice not hearing candy wrappers the whole time.
overall the cast were great. This show is really an ensemble cast. Usually seeing Brits try American accents drives me crazy but they all did pretty good. I thought the women in the cast were much stronger than the men. It felt like they hit more of the emotion overall. I saw Alice Ripley on the national tour years ago and I think Caissie Levy was actually better. I really hope this does transfer to Broadway cus I think CL would be in serious contention for a Tony (although it looks like leading female is going to be a stacked category this year).
all in all a wonderful night at the theatre and fun to experience the West End after so many years.
I saw this amazingly sung show last week in London, and was blown away by the quality of all the voices, both male and female...CAISSIE LEVY got me sobbing out loud singing I MISS THE MOUNTAINS...whether or not this production moves on to Broadway, i am so glad i saw it here in London!
Is any hope of this transferring to Broadway dead? I sure hope not, I can’t bear to live in a world where Jack Wolfe and Caissie Levy aren’t going to share the stage together one last time.
I heard there was a LOT of back and forth about whether they wanted to transfer this season or wait until next. Not sure where they landed, but the intention to come to Broadway is certainly there.
I just hope they wait. It’s a crowded season for revivals.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Last I heard, Roundabout is interested in transferring it. The goal is certainly broadway, but for the 2025 - 2026 season. My guess would be Caissie (obviously), Jamie, Eleanor, and Jack Wolfe would transfer with it.

I'm really hoping for a 2025-26 transfer. I got to see the show once a the Donmar and 7 times at Wyndham's, but I'm hoping my last show wasn't my goodbye. Caissie absolutely deserves a Tony win, and I don't see it as likely if this runs in 2024-25. I also cannot imagine the production transferring without all of the Goodmans reprising their roles? In any case, I hope that the release of the pro-shot doesn't get tied up forever.
Also, I would have sold a kidney to see that Lizzy/Carolyn show, but I did catch Ben's debut as Dan and Jake's debut as Gabe. Ben's Dan didn't break my heart the way Jamie's did. I feel like Jamie's interpretation of Dan is what finally made me realize the extent to which Dan is hurting/in denial. Jake's Gabe blew me away. Thought he was really stellar.
Well DBAK I hate to brag but I did manage to catch the Lizzy/Carolyn show - but I wish I had seen the understudy men too and never got to!!!

I bet it was such a great show! Between us, we saw all four, then!
