Me too. I wish Leslie would've had a larger part as well.
Hamilton gave a good performance but why was it just showcasing Lin? None of the women were represented and neither was you know, the other nominee. This whole night has been a Lin J**k fest.
yes "self centered Hamilton"
My wife’s the reason anything gets done
She nudges me towards promise by degrees
She is a perfect symphony of one,
Our son is her most beautiful reprise
We chase the melodies that seem to find us
Until they’re finished songs and start to play
When senseless acts of tragedy remind us
That nothing here is promised, not one day
This show is proof that history remembers
We live through times when hate and fear seem stronger
We rise and fall and light from dying embers
Remembrances that hope and love lasts long
And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love
Cannot be killed or swept aside,
I sing Vanessa’s symphony, Eliza tells her story
Now fill the world with music love and pride

Same. Just didn't wow me at all.
"I understand. This was not t all representative of the power of the show. It has been closed and they must have scrambled with the staging. The camera's were not filming it well. It made me sad. The production was spellbinding but this performance was NOT AT ALL representative of what they did. : (

I'm gonna love it when Hamilton wins Best Musical because it's gonna piss soooo many people off and ruin their night! #staymiserable
Okay, I'm officially an old coot. Couldn't understand 90% of the lyrics in the HAMILTON number.
Barack and Michelle Obama notwithstanding, if you gave me a free ticket to that show, I'd hand it right back and tell you to give someone who would appreciate it.
Then I'd go home and listen to the OCR recording of SOUTH PACIFIC

Exactly. Thank you, Carlos.
They were exceptional.
I just gotta add WEPA! And Where is the Puerto Rican flag emoji here? LOL! Loved this! My favorite number!

Hmmmm. Not impressed with that number...
Maybe I'll have a shot at a ticket at 11pm
Saw Shuffle last night - choreography was jaw-dropping.
The night really is Lin overload.
U can gimme that ticket!
Seriously, to each his own.
The buzzkills on this thread need to get off the board and go cry alone with their wine. Enjoy the damn show, jeez. I'm never on these boards anymore because of people like you.

Scott Rudin may be second to Lin with face time.

I LOOOOOOVE Hamilton, but I didn't really enjoy that performance (nor there Grammy performance, so maybe it just doesn't translate well on screen). So far, for me, The Color Purple had the best performance.

Or to the songs that have a melody? Anytime they have performed on tv they have only done the songs that are basically "raps".

That is in no way the highlight of the whole show. Man the people trying so hard to find anything to hate about Hamilton are worse than the people obsessed over it

I'm also guessing the producers of the show wanted Lin front and center and to put as much stuff going on as possible. Which is why they picked Yorktown

Lin overload? WTF? Should he not accept awards for his specific work? He's been about as generous and gracious this past year as someone can be with all the spotlights and awards showered upon him.
I love Hamilton a lot but something about that performance seemed a little off. And the sound wasn't great, there were echos and it just wasn't clear.

People just want to be contrarian and **** all over something popular for some reason. Maybe they don't like the rest of the world invading their world. Who knows.
its petty and dumb. The show is cleaning up, will win best musical and is sold out for a long ass time. People can be cool and not like it all they like.
its not for everyone, I get that. But people seem so proud that they dislike it

Sound was not great. And it does lose something out of context. It looked like Lin was trying real hard to bring energy
