Waitress just sold me a ticket.

That waitress number was STRONG! Basically everybody at my party was like "we need to get tickets"

Damn, Jessie Mueller slayed that. I have / had no desire to see Waitress (friends want to see it)... but damn.

I'm basing my opinion off the performance I saw. That wasn't that great. Mueller just DESTROYED that song. Like, in a good way. Incredibly heart wrenching performance. Man, some great female performances this year.

I just hate that a lot of great shows and performances are getting over looked. Aren't we all about inclusion?

Ugh. Jessie Mueller. The feels.

Man a lot of these dresses are boob city

It's not going to piss anyone off, dude. It is a sure thing and obviously deserves it, but some people see it as the end-all-be-all. There have been great musicals before this and there will be great ones in the future.

Are you kidding me? Obama is still the President, in a very fragile and volatile country which sees acts of terror on a frequent basis. Michelle has actually also been a very active FLOTUS who's been shaping this country's nutritional habits. Their continued efforts will affect this country and generations to come. "What else are they doing?" is not only ignorant, it's genuinely disrespectful.

Waitress and the Color Purple had the two best performances of the night. Let your divas SING other shows!

I do really want to see Hamilton because I feel like I am missing out on something just seeing these performances and listening to the cast recording. I don't hate it, but it doesn't excite me as much as other shows I have seen such as School of Rock or Shuffle Along.

And Waitress just made me want to see it again.

Sound was not great. And it does lose something out of context. It looked like Lin was trying real hard to bring energy "

I've seen that performance on the bootleg, and I think it loses something when all the lights are up and you can see the entire stage. In the show they use spotlights to highlight certain dancers and it's very effective. And yeah, the cast seemed kind of out of breath and nervous.

But, I'm really enjoying the evening so far! There's a lot of positive energy in that theater tonight.
