The Hamilton performance was awesome! And I saw a few glimpses of Leslie, even if he's not in that number in the show (I think)
Overjoyed for everybody involved with The Color Purple. An extraordinarily well-deserved Tony.
That was the most awkard tribute ever... Chicago deserved much better!! Jessie has given the second best performance of the night.
"Yeah people don't care about the Hamilton hype but they're falling all over themselves to say how much they don't want to see it "
What the hell does that mean? Don't drop your pearls Mary
Well I will say the predictions were all spot on.
Damn, Jessie Mueller can sell the hell out of that song.
Wish She Loves Me or Spring Awakening took revival.

Barack and Michelle Obama notwithstanding, if you gave me a free ticket to that show, I'd hand it right back and tell you to give someone who would appreciate it.
Then I'd go home and listen to the OCR recording of SOUTH PACIFIC"
Don't feel bad...some people have difficulty getting the lyrics down the first time around. You definitely have to be sharp to fully grasp it. As far as not accepting a free ticket for Hamilton, that's just ridiculous.

It means all these people keep saying they don't are about Hamilton but really want to make sure they tell you that they dont care and they don't want to see it. Which, you know, implies they do care. I don't have a desire to see a couple musicals that have been on the show but I don't feel the need to tell everyone. Hamilton is very popular so the contrarians have to come out to let everyone know there against the grain

They added Kyle-Jean Baptiste in the "In Memoriam" . Very classy Tony Awards.
Wow it's running late this year!
We're in a thread discussing the performances and the telecast. So we were talking about their performance. Calm down. I don't think the show speaks to me. It's just not my thing. Happy so many other people like it.
That was a gorgeous rendition of Seasons of Love.

How to watch rest of the show? Will they cut the telecast @ 10 like a couple years ago?

Give it a rest. I have been told over and over and over again how much I should see Hamilton. I have no desire to BUT as I said I am glad people are loving it and it's getting butts into seats.

Yes! I'm so glad Leslie won. I was getting worried tbh.

"Next...Barbra Streisand and the award for best musical..."
Last time I heard those words I was 14 years old and dreaming.
