I purchased them and thought they were a great deal.  I was on the left side of the theatre, which would have been impacted more, and thought the view was fine..  The seats on the right side would probably be even better since there is only a bookcase on that side, i.e., nothing to miss..  As much as I loved the show, I would not have enjoyed it as much if I had paid a lot more, due to its brevity.

Yeah, I had very little obstruction from Row B on the right side aisle back in April. I'd prefer to be more center and father back for a first time viewing, but honestly I caught a lot of great detail in the performances. The Saloon scene is the place which is most heavily impacted, but I didn't have a huge issue.

Any rumors of what casting would be after this cast leaves in September? Looking at planning a trip for mid October and the website says it’s running through January 4 at least.

Kumail doesn’t seem to have been out- his IG stories are all reposts of curtain call videos from yesterday and tonight. It looks like he’s scheduled to be out tomorrow, though.

the Reddit thread also seems to say Tony's been out all week, too. mixed signals with whoever is reporting this.

I think it's most likely that people are conflating the character named "Mary's Husband" and "Mary's Husband's Assistant". Tony has been out this week, Kumail has been on.

Tonight at the show  - Kumail was on as Mary's Husband.  

Tony was out. 

Instead, Martin Landry was on for "Mary's Husband's Assistant / Kyle"

Per Understudies.org, Martin Landry has been on since Monday for Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, no outs for Kumail.

Landry is on again tomorrow - as well as September 9-14 and 16-18.

Jackie Sanders is also an understudy in the off-Broadway show HOUSE of MCQUEEN. She probably dips out of Oh, Mary after their understudy week from Sept. 9-14.

Saw this for the fourth time tonight. I’ve seen it with Cole, Tituss, Hannah and now Jinkx and Jinkx may have been my favorite of the 4. Loved how different it felt from Cole and Hannah’s and loved the choices she made. Urie was amazing as well. The crowd was also probably the best of the four I’ve seen, huge reactions. The roar Jinkx got at curtain call almost seemed to overwhelm her

EDITL Tony was not back last night. Tony ended up being out all week. was this a planned, scheduled week off?

I believe she did it once at the Lortel, but this would be her first on Broadway. Still exciting, because that’s the pairing I’d want to see.

Tony Macht was also out again tonight. Hopefully, he's alright. But I believe this is the first time the show has had two understudies go on.

Per Martin Landry, it was not. It has happened once before, though he did not specify the combination. I think it may have been an Abe/Teacher combination because (first term) Conrad had his bike accident and was out for a bit and James got sick around the same time. A Louise actress has never called out, and it sounded like Bianca didn’t even take a vacation during her run since Hannah never went on as Louise until today.

Honestly, all hail Jinkx Monsoon. The number of times I have seen this show - I know the blocking, the jokes, and where the laughs land and don’t land, and Jinkx has completely upended and reinvented the role to flex every comedic muscle she has. You can tell she has put in the work to make this role a success and it really shows. This may be one of best replacement castings I have seen in my life.

Nanjiani has gotten a lot better and more confident. He’s certainly a more perverse Abe. (I caught some new small details specific to him that made me cackle.) He remains the stoic straight man to Jinkx channeling Burnett, Crawford, Garland, and Ball all in one. Urie has refined and perfected his dashing young teacher cum sad desperate gay to pointed perfection.

Hannah was a great Louise. There isn’t much to the part, but she made it her own and I was not prepared with how tall Landry was (at nearly a foot taller) - and I was ready to question how he had enough room to fit under the desk

When we saw it on Saturday, as soon as the lights came up my wife leaned over to me and asked "how is he going to fit under the desk?"
