There's no way this only runs for two months. Especially with a name or two attached. Probably runs through June for the Tony Awards and then launches a tour in Sept. 2024.

wondering how Josh will remount this and open Crazy For You in Florida on the same weekend

I said what I said. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. Thanks!
I guess it's a generational thing. I ran my list past my 25 year old co-worker and he said "I don't know who those people are."
"
Mulaney and Kroll’s Oh, Hello broke box office records at the Lyceum and extended twice due to demand.

I assume, based on that artwork, that James Monroe Iglehart is transferring.

Probably a good bet that this will be the exact same cast as the Kennedy Center run which is…pretty lackluster. The original had titans of comedy in the cast. I don’t see how this really does well without a meaningful name.

Unless they’re courting a bigger name. Eddie Murphy would certainly cause a sensation.

James Monroe Inglehart is appearing in the musical "A Wonderful World" in New Orleans and Chicago in the month of October
I hope this isn't true. He ruined Hamilton for me, his diction was incredibly poor.

I agree. Saw Hamilton because he was in it and walked out hating it. I’ll probably see this with his understudy

Correction Pre-sale is Aug 8th, General sale is August 9th.
They're definitely replacing some of the leads. Otherwise, if everyone is transferring, why delay the cast announcement?

They might have just not had the chance to update the artwork yet? Maybe waiting for casting to finalize or something. Appears to be the same artwork from the Kennedy Center run.

He's in San Diego for Cabaret right now.... and I was wondering the same thing ^

It's not the same artwork from Kennedy Center, similar yes, but it's re-drawn with slightly different style and added characters. Kennedy Center used the original Broadway artwork.

First of all, I was off by a day but, called it (tips hat)
James is the lead in "A Wonderful World" which is playing in Chicago until October 29th, he is absolutely not transferring to Broadway in this barring some change to that production's out-of-town schedule.

Curious. There's literally no good way to make both of the schedules work unless he misses the entire preview period of Spamalot or doesn't direct CFY at all. So I'm very interested to know how that all works.

I hate it when revivals recycle the original artwork. So lazy.
Of all the original Kennedy Center productions, I'm surprised this is the one that's transferring. Was it even that well-received?
How it usually works is the creative departs working on a regional production to participate in a Broadway production.

that link leads to a page with two different things on it, above the line is a link to the Broadway announcement, below the line is the original press release for the version at the Kennedy Center

right but CFY was only happening because Josh was attached. I know they can find someone last minute who can direct/choreo but the fact is, design choices and decisions were already months in the making, set construction nearly finished etc. So whose production is it considered now?
Iglehart is set to direct a production of SPELLING BEE at Theatreworks in the Bay area in December, and has the Louis Armstrong Musical in September-October. He's booked.

Maybe that will transfer too, plus the Encores' Piazza, and then we just need Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to have the revival rematch of the century. The 2004-2005 season was stacked.
Do we really need this back on Broadway? I feel like the show is done to death now. Same sets costumes etc … No one can hold a candle to the OBC. We need Bryan Cranston as King Arthur and Orfeh as the Lady
