No offense to Josh R, but wouldn’t you want a director who is good with comedy? Or else we are likely to just get a very well done regional version of the show instead of a new take?
if Kritzer keeps the role of Lady of the Lake so hope she gets a Tony nomination finally. She’s one of those actresses always working but has never had the right role to be recognized.

The Britney line was a Sweet Charity reference, which obviously didn’t pan out. When they brought it back, it was with a “shaving her head in panic mode” sight gag, which feels harsher in hindsight.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this now the third 21st century musical to be revived on Broadway following The Color Purple and Caroline, or Change? With potentially Light in the Piazza on the way I find it astounding that we're now in a time when shows many of us still probably think of or view as new, modern, or contemporary are now on the road to revival territory. Isn't there also talk of a return for Mamma Mia?
Makes me hopeful I'll get that Pirate Queen revival sooner rather than later

Fourth, you forgot about Spring Awakening.
They/them.

FWIW, the recent casting notice posted on Playbill indicated July 28th as a closing date. Not sure if that means that's how long it could run if it does well, or if that is the set closing date -- leaving the theatre available for another show to open in Fall 2024.
What roles were posted in the casting notice? Or might it just be for swings and understudies?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
My guess is, if they are truly getting Hollywood names, contracts will be short and they're looking for understudies with promise of replacements.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
This will be a huge flop unless they get some names. Monty Python is so dated at this point. Every little theatre in the country has done this show. I can’t imagine any interest in this.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
All major roles listed. Interestingly Sir Galahad and Patsy are the only roles listed as already being cast."
Harvey Guillén from What We Do in the Shadows was supposed to be Patsy in DC but had to pull out due to scheduling. Since that show is unlikely to be filming in the fall, perhaps he’ll be doing it on Broadway?
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

Their reunion shows sold out the O2 Arena 10 times and that wasn't even a decade ago....they still have a massive fan base
It's interesting that the original production barely did star-casting after the OBC, despite the connections of Mike Nichols, Bill Haber, and the Python brand...Clay Aiken was a stunt as Sir Robin, and Robin Williams reportedly came very close to doing a short stint as Lancelot. It, like THE PRODUCERS, struggled after the OBC left, and replacements can be tough with ensemble-based comedy.
As others have said, there's no way this revival is successful (or even raises its money) without some major stars. And not simply a couple of C-list TV/stage actors...the box office difference between a Harvey Guillen type and a Josh Grisetti type is negligible.
Sometime I'd love to see a British ensemble company -- Mischief or someone similar -- revive the show in a scaled-down way and really lean into its homespun roots & ensemble vibe.
Could it be possible that everyone from city center but JMI and Brightman are transferring which is why they are the only ones being cast? Rob McClures roles could possibly be Chris Fitzgerald, who has been rumored to be in this production.

Yeah but that was, like, actual Monty Python, not a bunch of musical theater actors performing their greatest hits.
