Sadly, the remastered version will not be the entire "live" stream version. Both Wednesday performances were filmed as well as the "live" stream the following night: Thursday. The remastered version BroadwayHD will have in their permanent archive catalogue will be composed of these 3 performances. It still will be a fantastic archive but not one of the entire "live" stream we all watched.

"
Understudies? I certainly didn't see any in the live show. Who?
The "live" stream took place on a Thursday night and featured the full cast. There were 2 performances the previous day (a 2pm and an 8pm) which were filmed AND used as camera tests to check angles prior to the "live" streamed performance the following night. These 2 performances featured understudies. The permanent archive BroadwayHD copy will have footage combined from these 3 performances. Hope this makes sense.
Unlikely. BroadwayHD is subscriber based and make their money keeping their content exclusive. A commercial DVD release will take away its exclusivity. People have created excellent DVDs off the live stream broadcast so DVDs of SHE LOVE ME are out there.

Perhaps. And logically so. However, at times, companies will sell things and make deals for immediate revenue, even if it may not be wise in the long term. While I hope for BroadwayHD's, and competitors' prosperity, it's not guaranteed. So, it could happen! Much, if not most, of their catalog is available on DVD already. (I realize they licensed the existing recordings instead of making their own production).
Personally, I treasure the production so much that I'd love to have a personal copy.
Back from the Fathom Events screening. The editing of the three performances seemed seamless. The one lacking thing was audience reaction but that may just be due to the microphones and how the sound was mixed. No doubt this was different from the streaming day.
What a delightful show - this was my first time seeing it, although I'd been urged to see it for years. There just hasn't been a production near me. (I watched some of the UK television production over on youtube and bluegobo).
My eldest daughter had rehearsal and couldn't see it - so thinking of a Holiday gift of some partial subscription to BroadwayHD so she can see this (and others) while she is on break.
I went to the screening in Aliso Viejo, California, probably about 30+ in attendance. When I arrived it said there were about 6 minutes till the show, but then when 7 pm arrived the countdown started over again at 30 minutes and kept repeating the same nauseating messages. Think someone went out after 5 minutes and complained. All of a sudden it stopped the countdown and jumped to the show which was really GR8 just as it was when I watched it live on Broadway HD. I didn't like some of the shots when they were really close up as all the men who were tall their top of their heads were cut off on the screen. Don't know whether that was because of the screen they used perhaps not having it in the correct ratio. I was glad to see that they left in the ice cream drop by Laura Benanti which got a response from the audience that was there. Otherwise, there was no clapping or much response from the audience that was there. Think I liked it better seeing it on the computer rather than in the theatre. Hopefully Broadway HD will do more of these especially with Roundabout who could make some more cash for their shows.
Just got home from the theatre. Gosh I love this show more and more every time I see it! I feel so fortunate to have seen it on Broadway and then to watch the stream and now to see it in a theatre. My friend was in awe. Our faces hurt from smiling for 2 hours :)
And I can't help thinking that Zachary Levi would be an amazing King George III.
I saw it last night along with two friends of mine and we all loved it. I was the only one of us who had seen this production on Broadway. I thought everything about it was wonderful. I wish more shows did this.
Hey Dottie!

WickedFanatic, that exact thing happened last night at the theater in Danbury, Conn. A couple of angry people got up and complained. But I don't think they got anyone who was really in charge. After several minutes, the clock went from 27 minutes to 4 and the issue was cleared up. But what a bad way to start the show!
God it was so good! I was fortunate enough to see it on Broadway twice, but I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing this perfect production. I can't find one flaw with it...stunning production!
