She discusses Bernstein's specific direction to sing the "ha-ha"s with an audible "H", and how difficult and vocally taxing that was to do. If you're interested, here's the interview/podcast.

Thank you so much! I've never seen that. Will have a listen tomorrow- what a fascinating woman she is.
ok I just finished watching the first act. absolutely impressed.
Btw, is it normal that sometimes the picture quality goes from HD to SD? I have decent internet speed, but not super super fast (plus I'm using wireless). maybe if I plugged in a cable it would be more stable, I;ll have to try that out and compare.
I was on wifi and mine did that a couple of times, but it was mostly in Act 1. It probably also helped that during Act 2, I moved to another room that was closer to our modem, and it was in HD the entire rest of the time.

Don't be such a cheap crapbag. The stream of this is a huge deal and could mean future productions of shows can be preserved. Pay the $9.99 if you want to watch and get over it.
A couple of theater lovers start a business and go through a significant amount of trouble and time to make it possible for you watch a Broadway show live at home for less than the price of a movie ticket, it's a smashing success by every account--and the first thing certain people around here want to do is rip them off. Honestly, folks.
Then they had better make the site more user friendly and not throw up bumps and blocks to discourage us. I'd have HAPPILY paid but the method they want I can't/won't use.
I watched on Thursday evening, and after some initial issues, the rest of the broadcast was perfect. I have watched bits and pieces again since then, and I just want to say THANK YOU to Broadway HD for making this possible. I saw this production in June in the theater, but it is wonderful that now people who can't get to New York can enjoy it. Hopefully this will increase the enthusiasm for theater in the general population, too.
The code is legit, but it wasn't meant to be dispersed to everyone so they can watch She Loves Me for free. It was sent to people who attended Broadway Con in January as a thank you. Because everyone is using this same code, it means loss revenue for the people that put this live stream together. Making it less likely we'll get more of this in the future.
People are referring to philly pinto who asked for someone's user name and password to watch it. Hed be the cheap one ripping them off. His posts were deleted.
I managed with difficulty to connect up with the live stream. The show was great. I took out a monthly subscription to see Billy Elliot and a couple of others. What a waste! I have had no luck at all. I click on Billy, attempt to sign in with my e-mail and password with no luck at all. What a waste of money! Why does everything have to be so user unfriendly? I would ask for my money back but I don't know how.
I have watched it three times, and I love it so much! They did such a great job with the filming, and the cast is absolutely marvelous!!! I saw this show live in early June, and wanted to go back to see it again but have scheduling and budget issues. Thanks to BroadwayHD, I was able to see this again and also see the facial expressions of the performers which I was not able to see from the mezzanine. And even though nothing can beat seeing a show live in the theater, this was pretty close - you can really feel the energy. Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi, Gavin Creel, and the entire cast are just ridiculously talented and perfect for their roles, and I am so glad that their performances are going to be preserved through this recording forever. I already recommended many friends to purchase and watch it before 7/10. What an amazing accomplishment for a first Broadway live stream. Hope to see many more in the future!
I don't believe any word has been given on the theatrical release of She Loves Me yet. I emailed BroadwayHD earlier this week and they informed me that they were hoping to put it back up on their website within 2 months. Woo hoo!
I actually checked with the publicist for BroadwayHD the other day and was told that there has been no confirmation that ''She Loves Me'' is getting a cinematic release. At least not yet. And that the version that was live-streamed is now being digitally remastered. It'll return to the BroadwayHD website later, but was given no timeline. (Hopefully before the holidays, or ''12 Days to Christmas.''
