I didn't realize this wasn't common knowledge so hopefully it helps someone out!"
I used my IDNYC to apply for a membership two days ago, once I realized it was free compared to spending the 10$ on the membership. They did say when I submitted my picture that it can take up to 30 days for the membership to be approved. I got the membership email ~a day later and used it to buy a pair of tickets for mid-November.
For those worrying, there's a ton of seats available at all price points for the majority of performances.
I sat at the very tippy top right of the seating chart when I saw Straight Line Crazy at this theater and the view was fine. It's possible that with the staging you can miss some upstage things, which wasn't really a worry with SLC, but they're still good seats.
Just got a pair. Tons of tickets left so don't panic if you're waiting on line or until public sale tomorrow. On the December date we chose the majority of seats in the house were available.
I was never too worried that the entire run would sell out before public sales even start, but my dates were very limited (as I was only going to be available for a couple of days in October) and I was hoping to get $129 seats given the size of the venue.
The expensive seats - probably bought yesterday - and the cheap seats are the most popular. It was definitely easier when looking in November and December, at least earlier today.
ETA at 7:45 p.m. Eastern time — I was scanning through various dates just now, and it confirmed my earlier impression. There is ample ticket availability for people buying Thursday, including at the $129 level (plus $5 fee), but you’re better off looking at November or December dates for bargain prices with a few exceptions. Tickets for higher prices, including $169 and up, are available sooner. I do not know when, or if, dynamic pricing might kick in.
And one other thing: the people who suggested getting the $10 membership (more than one of you) also get credit. It wasn’t necessary for everyone but it helped me save a little money.
Got tickets for 25 November at 1:00. Side seats $129. Plenty seats at all prices available but $129. was my limit. A few minutes to get through on internet.
One thing I noticed was they seem to save your credit card info automatically when you make a purchased. Maybe I missed clicking on something? I went back after & deleted my credit card info from my Shed account as a safety precaution.

Bumping this post now that there’s a cast. A few parts seem pretty obvious, others I am less certain about. But it might be obvious to you folks. Many of the male roles don’t require big singing voices, which might explain some of the casting decisions that seem to emphasize acting chops.
i'm guessing Amber Gray is Marianne, Rachel Bay Jones is Claudia, and Micaela Diamond is Fritz.
EDIT: Oops, forgot Tracie Bennet was a part of this. I'd say she is likely Claudia and Rachel Bay Jones is (likely) Woman. Or, vice versa. Fairly certain Amber is Marienne and Micaela is Fritz.
Hate that two of the roles don't have names.
They/them.

Is this just your guess or do you have inside info? Based on the ages, I have a hard time believing Amber is Woman. Rachel Bay Jones and Tracie Bennett read much older than her (to me.)

Same issue here..."
I shockingly had no issues when I logged on right at noon, but it did take a little longer than usual to move from page to page (i.e. like my browser was running slow), so I'm guessing there's just a lot of traffic that's slowing it down? There were still a ton of tickets available, though, so don't worry.
I purchased tickets to the first preview. There are plenty of seats remaining, and the online queue was 2 people ahead of me to get in to purchase tickets.
It cost me my unborn child, but yesterday during presale I was able to snag a ticket to the final performance in January. I could sob. I will sob. Cannot wait to watch the Buñuel films and imagine what this score is gonna sound like with this cast.
