I always like to hear what people are saying about a show as I leave for intermission and I have taken part in many conversations about a show with people I don't know while waiting to go back for Act II.

Someday, Willheim, you too could be as bitter and jaded as Jordy and I.
Someday.
Someday.

This thread is far more interesting than it's source material. Taymor & Co. should just charge admission and have the actors read our posts on stage for a few hours.

LegallyBroadway -- that is possibly the most masochistic action I've ever come across!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Just heard on the radio that La Taymor's grip may be slipping...
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

hahaha masochistic? We shall see, on Tuesday night :)
But no seriously, this thread is beast.
So many people thinking they are the ****ttttttt.
Spider man really should be a musical about making the musical.

It took over an hour of negotiations, but I convinced my brother to buy tickets for us to see a Book of Mormon preview instead of Spider-Man. What sold it? A combination of choice excerpts from this thread and his realization that there's no way this show won't extend again if they're genuinely trying to fix the book.
The kicker? He's a Spider-Man super-fan. Owns all the comics from the last thirty years, saw all the movies at midnight, and has a large collection of never-opened Spider-Man collectibles. I told him I'd buy tickets for the show when it actually opens, if it actually opens. What's stopping them from another extension? A second round of bad reviews of the preview period? I'm sure they're shaking in their boots over that possibility.

I'm probably going to rush for the show soon, and since most of the seats have been in the rear sides of the orchestra, how is the view? Do you see most of the flying?

shrekster, from what I gather you miss a lot of the flying in the rear orchestra. Check through this thread. People have been discussing the views from different areas of the theater.

Heck...I missed a bunch of the flying from the front row of the balcony. (What I did see, I didnt' think was all that spectacular, anyway.)

I was listening to the music today and I had some questions. First what exactly goes on during rise above? Does Arachne just fly in and dangle above Peter? Is that the same thing that happens during turn off the dark? The more I listen to the music the more I realize how incoherent and all over the place this show is.

where are you getting the music??
I was in the front Mezz flying area and you do miss when they go to the balcony and when he bounces downstairs
I still liked it ...
