With their tickets sales? Of course it will open. We just never know when.

You mean their ticket sales that have been dropping every week...even before the reviews came out?

It was the highest grossing show last week and has been grossing over a million. I don't know why people think it had a rough week.

I think people are commenting on the week's gross being pretty much the same as the previous one, only with an added 8th performance. That, and the attendance has been slipping slightly, along with the average ticket price.

Only time will tell. The months between New Years and summer are slow for pretty much every show. Sales will pick up in the summer.

I think many people are considering this like a side show---with the bad press---they almost expect disaster and good ticket sales reflect that. They are, inevitably disappointed---when it's just a show with not a great story line. IMO anyway.

The song Love Me Or Kill Me was cut. The lines have to be the way they are because they're fighting and can only talk when they stop, and they somehow have to get the point across of what's going on. I hate the change there.

To be completely honest, maybe these early brutal reviews are exactly what the Spidey production team needs before opening. The ones I read were pretty (immature, but) accurate. If Julie and her crew are smart, they'll take these reviews and work around them before their official opening. Because I can almost guarantee that many of these reviewers will go back for the official opening and re-review it if they're as professional as they should be.
(And, to be honest, most of the reviews did post a disclaimer saying that the show still is in previews.)

We also know that the nut is upward of $1,000,000. Nobody should take for granted that it is covering its costs at $1.2 million.

Another pause tonight. Spidey got stuck above the mezz during his farewell flight.
As for what I thought. Worst. Show. Ever.

Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?

You should have waited until it opens. It's going to be a completely different show!

It really baffles me how they have had since late November to work this crap out. And while they have worked out MAJOR kinks, they have something go wrong almost every other performance! I know a book and music is asking a TAD bit too much from them (ugh) but at least put that wasted $80 million that could have gone into said book/music and at least get the effing thing to run smoothly!

You're such a negative Nelly! This is a PREVIEW of the show. Once it opens it's going to run smoothly and be a completely different show. Theyre making SO many changes, you won't even believe it!

"It was the highest grossing show last week and has been grossing over a million. I don't know why people think it had a rough week."
When the shows weekly nut is just around a million, doing just around a million in sales is not good, it's circling the drain.

Does anyone know where rush seat locations have been lately? Are they still extreme side orchestra?

I think I agree with Jay Lustig, NJ Star-Ledger--who feels that, even tho' most critics hate it, people will see it anyway--to judge for themselves. And the ticket sales seem to mirror that opinion. (I haven't seen it yet--so can't judge quality)

I saw it yesterday matinee...no problems at all ..no stops during the production..I really loved the show..is it great ..no . but I enjoyed it and thought it was like a comic book come to life..which is what they were going for. I went in expecting to hate it and I was very surprised...everyone around me in the flying circle said the same ..and the kids in the audience were really enjoying it. The flying is amazing no matter what the reviews say it was impresive.
The music is not great 2 good songs ..but it wasnt horrible. The 2 guys playing the guitars made no sense to me but other than that I loved it...

Well I'll fess-up....
If/when the cd comes out I'll buy it thereby cutting the investment losses to
$74,999,999....
It's the least I can do to show my gratitude for all the enjoyment I have had reading the threads and reviews and of course the help reduce the accident insurance premiums.
