Is this show mic'd? I have a guest that is just slightly hard of hearing so want to be sure there won't be an issue...

Yes, each actor wears a mic during the play

The first time I saw it, I had to sit in the back of the balcony (do not recommend lol) but I could hear everything fine.

Hey Jordan- where do you suggest sitting for this play? Is this an orch seat type play or a must see from mezz?

I saw it twice, first from halfway up the side aisle in the orch, second time from (I think) 2nd row mezz. I add my vote for the front mezz.

Aisle seats have their advantages! Enjoy the show! :)

There were reports on Facebook earlier this week that Greg Kinnear was going to reopen it on B'way (long postponed from his B'way debut last April) , and Richard Thomas was taking it on tour. Kinnear was supposed to take the role last April, before the pandemic closed everything down. I'd rather see Daniels in the role and not Kinnear.

All I am
saying is stand by your actions or beliefs. And before anyone says anything about Tina the Musical and Adrienne Warren, I feel the same way. If you are unhappy and have been that public about it, do not go and sign and contract and expect support again.

Rudin is no longer the producer of the show. Orin Wolf is. I think that’s been made clear.
Performers don’t need your support. They aren’t in your friends group. They entertain you. You enjoy their work or you don’t. You don’t know what goes on behind closed doors, and frankly, you shouldn’t.

Double. Sorry.

Actually you are 100% incorrect. YES, Orin is the new EP. However, RUDIN is still the original producer, he is still financially benefiting from the show. Just because Rudin's name has been removed does not mean he is no longer the "producer".
Check your facts!

The NYT article posted on the first page of this thread made it clear that, while Rudin may still be financially benefitting from this production, those benefits will be far smaller than they were pre-pandemic:
“'The Broadway company will no longer pay any compensation to Scott as a producer, and he’ll no longer have any managerial or decision-making role of any kind,' Wolf said. 'He does have a small investment position, which is passive.'"
So, yes, Rudin may technically still be a "producer," but his role has basically been reduced to that of an investor.
Also, Celia addressed this in her latest Instagram post (I'm posting her caption below for those who may not be able to access Instagram):
"This past year, I thought I might not return to Broadway for a long time. The reckoning inside of our community left me feeling like I didn’t want to come back until it had figured itself out. Then I was approached by the new producer of To Kill A Mockingbird and I had to ask myself (and the production) some big questions. How do we go forward and repair some of the harm that’s been done? How do we dedicate ourselves to reducing harm as we re-open? How will we hold ourselves accountable? And these questions made me start to wonder if maybe I could help interrupt some patterns I’ve believed to be true about this industry. It’s not often that we get to go back and try to heal something that was broken, but returning to this show feels like an opportunity to do that, both for myself and for this community that I love so dearly.
I am returning to Mockingbird with the intention of taking everything I’ve learned this past year and working to make every space I step into more just, equitable, and compassionate. And this time around, I'm hoping to extend some of that compassion to myself. As Schele Williams recently said to me, we have to walk into this next chapter with a backpack full of grace. Mine is stuffed and I cannot wait to get to work."

Or here's another thought...how about you just do you??

Gordon Clapp is perfect for the judge as well (and the recasting likely also means Dakin Matthews will stay in Waitress for Sara's run and beyond).

This is selling extremely well despite the $290 price tag for Row M of the Orchestra. Ouch.
