Especially considering how long they went on at the Drama Desks

Hugh Jackman, at the beginning of Somewhere... I liked that.
With Aretha Franklin however... not so much.
But Hugh made me reconsider my opinion that Somewhere should only be sung by a female with a high voice.
That was just horrible...Why did they do that?

My friend just told me she thought Aretha Franklin was dead....LOL
They should never do a duet again...
And what was that last note of Hugh's? (Nasty riff)
Poor Mr. Sondheim.
That was such a bad tribute to him.

They should have let Hugh sing it alone. Aretha's voice has seen better days. Maybe if she lost a couple a hundred pounds she'd be able to sing better.

Hugh sounded lovely, but Aretha.. *covers ears* GAH. Was that music?
Hugh. *Thud*
I'm talking about Aretha and Hugh's assassination of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's classic "Somewhere".
Now, I love me some Aretha, just like the next fella but she sounded horrible. Hugh was fine but he did not make a good vocal blend with Franklin. It was off and very painful to watch and hear.

That was a horrible duet. Hugh and Aretha looked like they were competing rather than singing together. No interaction at all between them.

Was that about the 7 millionth tribute to Sondheim this season?
ENOUGH already
Wow, I'm rewinding and recording over that disaster.
Wow, I still haven't recovered from that.
That was one of the worst performances I've ever seen at a Tonys telecast. Yuck.
Yeah, I think they should get rid of that new tradition.
First Mary J. Blige. And now this.
Ugh.

LOLOL
That Somewhere duet was completely pointless. I agree with whoever said the nominated shows can get more time if they don't do this ridiculous filler.
And I don't know if it was just a poor match-up but they sucked. Plus we've (TV viewers) had to listen to that song (lovely as it is when sung well) on practically every commercial.

CLEVER! erase the memory of that song! i may watch it again later for ****s and giggles.
LMAO. Aretha singing "I Feel Pretty". That would be classic. Especially in that dress.
I feel like I was witnessing a horrible car wreck. It was so horrific but I couldn't divert my eyes from it.
