I think Trent was getting up to be in the shot.
Agree, I thought he was just doing a 'sit up straight / good posture / get in the cameraman's shot' adjustment. But that's why I hang out here, to have other reasons pointed out to me.

"ZONE, thank you. Leave the kids alone. He's what 14, his sexuality should not even be brought up. Kinda pervy."
Thank you.

Posted: 6/7/09 at 10:55pmI actually happen to think Billy Elliot is the better overall production. I think it deserves the Tony, but I hope Next to Normal is the face of the coming wave of new musicals.

Posted: 6/7/09 at 10:56pmThe Tonys just started here in LA...it's 8pm. The sound was off at the very beginning as well as when the musical numbers started. It's ok now.

Okay, I did really enjoy BE and it is a fantastic show, but damn, it did not deserve 10 Tonys. Best book should have definitely gone elsewhere.
Pretty disappointed this year...wait, Neil is singing. Can he save this for me?

Elton's speech was classy at least. I loved the N2N shout out.
And I love Neil Patrick Harris!

Posted: 6/7/09 at 10:58pmLOL at NPH's Chris Sieber joke. Good ending (although it didn't make up for the awfulness throughout the evening).

Posted: 6/7/09 at 10:58pmWow, is this the first time the Tonys have gone over in recent years? Usually they're very prompt.
