It's called honoring those who passed.

They're applauding for the people who died, it's fine.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

That may have been the most beautifully done best memoriam I can remember.
Scratch and claw for every day you're worth!
Make them drag you screaming from life, keep dreaming
You'll live forever here on earth.

Amazing performance from Cyndi to those who passed away.

Cyndi singing that song can still make me cry after all these years. That's an amazing testament to her talent.

I think it's a little tacky that more "popular dead" people get applause and others dont. They should hold applause until the end.

Beautiful, Cyndi. Such a beautiful song. Love that high note.
This woman is now one award away (albeit an Oscar) from joining the EGOT club.

I would like to thank BWW for not bitching about True Colors not being a song from a Broadway musical.
Applause during the in Memoriam segment. Klassy.
A hundred times classier than that post.

Crying from Billy winning, from Tracy's moving speech, and from Cyndi's True Colors in-memoriam tribute. What a moving show!

It's that way in life, why not in death?

Ok, if they would have put a pic of Kyle up there, I would never have have stopped laughing.

OK....I can see how this "character" introduction thing seemed like a good idea.
It's not. It's cheesy.
