The "Coming Up Best Direction" thing was just a stock image to promote the Second Stage thing. The one under it had also said "Coming up Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Play" and obviously that one is near the end of the night on CBS.

Is the link to watch the red carpet working for anyone?
Stopped working for me.
Here's the Second Screen http://www.tonyawards.com/en_US/secondscreen/screen.html
What did the little kid say? I closed the window because I thought there was a Bandwidth problem, and now it won't even reopen. Oh, TONYs. "My only love sprung from my only hate."
There is no working live second screen, period. Are we surprised?
here is live stream to the red carpet on a different site that I found via twitter:

at least this works!
Try watching NY1 here, terrible quality but it works.

Second Screen still isn't working.
She said, it was good but there were too many things different from "the movie."

See this is why I (we?) love LIVE theater...no internet, cameras, video to screw things up. The curtain goes up and there's the show..none of this..where is the damn thing!!!
Second Screen is working for me, but it's not a video. Are we sure it's supposed to be? It just seems like it's supposed to be a blog.

Except for set failures. Actors missing lines. Actors having accidents. Actor missing ques. Mics blowing out. Speakers/Lights blowing out.
Yeah like when that hack Adam Pascal dropped his lines in CHICAGO, what a hack.

I think you're right. The description states that it is a "continuous scroll of content that is synchronized with the awards show".

Yeah!!! ^^^ But that's live theater. There are screw ups of course... but at least you can find them..it's not like, where the heck are we supposed to be looking???
Oh Jeezus, we have 30 minutes of that "Times Square Coverage" to suffer through?
Agreed, yuck Jordan. That said, do they broadcast the creative pre-show awards at Times Square? If so that may be the only way to see them.

How is it any different? They lost feed. You don't always know why a Broadway show stopped.
It stops because the actor forgot his lines, of course.
This is embarrassing.
"I think the best play is...oh I can never remember its name. Vanya and Vanya and Christopher Durang and Sigorney Weaver?"
Can they at least find people who know who the nominees are?
hahahahah

They were joking about all of the names in the title "Vanya...". That was Michael Riedel and Richard Ridge in that group. Obviously they'd know who the nominees are.
Oops, my stream cut out when they were announcing them.
