I wonder how Cynthia will land as Elphaba. We know she can sing, but what will the vibe of the movie lean into or away from, or how will her performance reflect or contrast that?
I mean we know they’re casting a young Nessa. I’d imagine with the expansion of the story there will be a large expansion to the prologue with more bits in Munchkinland.

I saw that, but I just thought Munchkinland doesn't factor that much into Wicked to warrant such a huge set being built."
With the recent casting call for a young Nessarose, my assumption is that we will see some amount Elphaba’s (and Nessa’s) childhood that, if I remember correctly, takes place in Munchkinland.
- The iconic catfight scene in Act 2 takes place at the start of the Yellow Brick Road.
- All of "No One Mourns the Wicked" (except for the flashback sequences) ostensibly takes place throughout Munchkinland. Same for Glinda's sections of the finale.
- With the film extending on elements of the book, maybe we'll see more of the community impact on Elphaba's father and then subsequently Nessa's reigns as governors of Munchkinland?
- Again, another question of how much more character development and detail we'll get beyond the musical, but we could learn more about Boq's backstory or life as a Munchkin.
Just some thoughts. Lots of ways I could potentially see Munchkinland being used visually throughout the films.
My only thought right now is how they'll end the first part with Defying Gravity. They're going to have to blow it out of the water to have interest for the second half.
Yes, and that side profile doesn’t remotely look anything like Ariana (I’m sad to have the knowledge to be able to say that).
To me it looks like the actress who played Luna in the HP films but honestly who know where these fans grab photos for edits.

Also, if that was going to be one of Grande’s Glinda costumes, I would be concerned about the artistic vision for this film."
That is almost certainly an AI-generated image. It has some of the obvious tells (weird depth of field, overly intricate details in some areas and muddy details in others, “perfect” surfaces, etc), lighting with no obvious source, etc)
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
