Now with the Glinda picture, I wonder if that’s supposed to be her “Glinda the Good” dress, or if that’s Galinda’s “Popular” dress, and the movie is going for a more “prom ballgown” look instead of the “homecoming dance” vibe with the stage version."
Why would that be her popular dress ? She has the grimerie in her hand"
Lol, that’s what happens when I’m staring at these distant pics on my tiny phone.

She looks like the idea of Glinda and not that she’s playing Glinda. This doesn’t look lived in.
I feel in my gut this might’ve been a miscasting."
Based on a couple photos that weren’t even released by the production itself? We have no idea if she’s in character for those shots or if they’re in between takes.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
We’ve all seen and discussed these like 12 hours ago. "
Nope. Different photos smarty"
The 2 official photos Jon M. Chu released, the overhead set photos, plus these 2 of Ariana have been discussed (and dissected) for several hours."
Ooh! A few more have popped too. A few different shots of the pink dress, more of Munchkin Country including shots of a giant propaganda poster of Elphaba
Also, a grainy aerial clip of Grande in a white dress (also looks as though she holding the Grimmirie again)
Thank God Glinda will look like a Good Witch, but she also kinda looks like Prom Queen Barbie to me. She looks so modern. Maybe I felt the original Wicked stage production made her look more otherworldy and timeless. At least she's in pink as reference to the original Wizard of Oz 1939 movie, and has a great wand. Now don't get me wrong, I like the ensemble. I just would like it more if it looked more timeless, iconic "Glinda" to me.
Guys. For Time Dragon Clock's sake. Just relax. These are incredibly raw photos, and as others observed, they could be completely out of context (could be rehearsals, could even be misdirects). They might change her dress color to something else post processing. They might even splice in Billie Burke's face and replace Ariana from the movie for all you know. So maybe try to not judge them so early, as hard as it can be.
I for one am very impressed with Ariana stans finding ways to get and leak these images.

this is going to be one of those unbearable production cycles where everyone must have an opinion on every set photo and and poorly recorded video from the next town over.

I’m pretty sure the “white dress” was just Ariana in a petticoat while blocking the number.
On a separate note, I love the clip of her singing. She sounds extremely different the Glinda we're used to hearing and the voice very much matches the dress choice.
Ariana Grande's fans are so impressive. I saw an Instagram post where one of them were filming outside of the set, and you can clearly hear Ariana singing the "...and goodness knows the Wicked's lives are lonely" line in NOMTW. While the quality of the recording is not perfect, Ariana sounds phenom.

I was just coming on here to share this. She does sound fantastic! I’m excited to hear and see more.
