The fan who made the edit, who deleted it after her hissy fit, has now reposted it after further consideration.

Grande commented on it last night at an event in Hollywood. I think in a roundabout way she is saying Erivo needs to be prepared for what may come with a property this big.

This is not a trailer, it is a promotional video. Words have meanings. Just like a cast album is not a soundtrack.

There are early reactions from the test screenings all over the internet. Just punch in “Wicked early screening reviews” into google.

It's hard to say for sure how accurate early reviews are; I've seen positive early reviews for things that were absolutely terrible. But the industry response to Wicked has been pretty positive so far. The first look way back in 2023 was super positive. A Sentimental Man podcast (all things Wicked) saw the film and spoke very positively about it, with lots of notes on what they liked specifically. There's a review from a Variety critic that seems positive as well. There's a couple of other people on Twitter and TikTok who've spoken well of the film on their personal accounts and channels. The Twitter account @wickednewshub has gathered some of these reviews on their page. I did see one slightly negative review that only mentioned Ariana Grande, who they felt shouldn't have been cast. But I'm feeling hopeful that at least the movie will be fun.

Looking at the new footage makes me glad that Jon M. Chu and the crew went for a "lavish fairy-tale blockbuster" kind of look for the film. Which only makes me wonder what the other directors, who were considered, would've gone for art direction wise.

Same! I'm curious how Stephen Daldry's version would've been like!

That new interview with her is just gurl you need to stop talking. Honestly she thinks she the only queer black singer in the world. She’s now just being an embarrassment of riches

Check out this new preview with even more singing, including What Is This Feeling? and The Wizard and I. I mean, obviously they sound pretty great.

Much easier THIS way:

I’ve been eating all these promos up but even I’m getting fatigue. Truly nothing will be a surprise in the movie.
For Part 2 I’m going to avoid any promo.

First of all I’m reserving my judgement on the singing until I hear the finished recordings. Secondly I don’t find the overuse of footage too annoying. As long as Part 1 is worth the wait, that’s what matters.

It's a 2 hour and 40 minute film. We've seen maybe a combined 10 minutes at most since the Super Bowl teaser trailer launched.

This just took everything to another level.

That's the best behind-the-scenes video they've dropped so far. Wildly impressive.

The live singing is perfectly perfect

The voices sound phenomenal as expected, but some of these orchestrations sound…less than magical.

Watch this wearing Bose headphones and you’ll think otherwise.

One thing I’m so relieved about is how committed they were to casting SINGER singers. This soundtrack is going to be an instant classic.
