way to go Anthony! I have never had an interest in smoking and never will. That makes me admire you even more. Have fun with the shooting! What You Own is my fav Rent song and I can't wait to see how it's going to turn out. I hope we see a trailer for this by the summer.
Hey Anthony this is kind of random, but do you watch Family Guy?! I love this show and I can't wait for the new season on May 1st

Oh, thank goodness! I hate rumors, too, but there was this huge thing on CB where everyone was stating it as if it were a fact, and not a rumor...*sigh*
Believe only half of what you see, and none of what you hear, right? I'm working on it.
Break a leg on the rooftops! Wow, that doesn't sound good.

Thanks again for the update Anthony! And I agree with you about the smoking ban in bars/restaurants...made it so much easier to go out, especially since I've quit smoking, and it makes the temptation less. It's killing me I haven't been able to go down and check out the set/filming...stupid work. =P
Way off-topic, but I watched your X-Files episode last night...have seen it several times before, but someone was talking about it on another board, and I have the DVD, so...that episode is creepy as all get out. Love it. You were great...what a fun guest starring role.
Have fun today...like many others "What You Own" is my fave song in the show. And as for seeing the trailer finally...I will probably scream with joy unabashedly.
Take Care--Kim

Good luck on the rooftops!
That's kind of an odd sentence, no?

I, too, would like to echo the "Bravo Anthony" for not smoking. I've never understood why singers smoke. It's one of those oxy moron things...smoking messes up your lungs, you need your lungs to sing...so wouldn't the natural response be to not smoke?
Anyway, I digress. I'm very excited to hear about the filming. A large group of people in Kansas City are already planning on skipping whatever we have to when the movie comes out, just to be one of the first to see it.
I hope you have fun on the rooftops. Oh, I wish I were in NYC.
Thanks for the update Anthony!

I'll join in: Hurray for non-smokers!
True, it's your own choice to smoke or not, but I can't think of anything more gross than someone smoking when you are eating... or the smell of your clothes after a night out in a place with lots of smokers...*ugh*
Anyway, wandering off-topic here.
Still can't believe this movie is really happening... Anthony, thanks for sharing all the info here.
Since I still haven't read all the 98 (!!) pages of this thread I do have one question left to ask (well, actually lots of questions, but I don't want to harrass anyone here, so...):
Will "Over the Moon" be in the movie?
My apologies if this has been asked before, but I really digg Idina in that song (not only in that song, actually) and would love to SEE her "do it" instead of only hearing it.
And Anthony, lots of fun with the movie once more (can't wait to see "Halloween", your 'big solo', hehehe
)!

Thank you for answering the question. I was so worried, I don't want one of my favorite actors to do something so gross. Smoking is yucky (please pass that very intelligent argument to the cast members who do smoke). Can't wait for the next update. Have fun on the rooftop...wow, that didn't sound right either...Have fun and don't fall off! =8->

Okay, must say hooray that you don't smoke, Anthony, and I agree, it is kinda odd that singers and performers smoke... whatever, I shan't go on about it.
Hope you have fun on the rooftops!

Hooray for not smoking! That makes me happy, good for you, Anthony!
Gosh, rooftops, Anthony Rapp as Mark singing "What You Own" on top of one, everything I hear about this movie just keeps getting better!
O and yes, the 1985 thing isn't verified, is it? Because I too was wondering about the AZT and cell phone dilemma.

I know this thread has gotten pretty long, but Anthony's posts have also been compiled on the site below.

alright, i dont post here much...but let me just say, i am soooo Fexcited about this movie(the F at the beginning isnt random or a typo....F stands for a rather elicit word used all too often in todays society).
i do have a question though. In all of the pictures i have seen online, i havent seen any that had Rosario, Tracy, or Taye. Are they just now filming this week, or has there scene not come yet? (or have i just not seen the pictures?)
waiting for this movie is crazy like whoa.....this is gonna be a VERRRYYY long year....but a good birthday present if its out by December

Taye hasn't been on set this week. That's why you're not seeing him. Rosario and Tracie have been there, but I'm assuming RENT fans that go down would rather have pictures of the B'way cast.

I read that Taye is finishing up on "Kevin Hill."
And i heard a rumor that all the indoor scenes will be filmed in San Francisco. Taye isnt really needed until San Fran, since most of Benny's scenes are indoors..."You'll See" *if it hasnt been cut from the movie*
