There is definitely something about her, isn't there?I stood a few feet away from her on stage during the pre-show at Once in 2013 and myeyes werejust drawn to her."
That’s how I felt about Carlos Valdes in the same show. He had this intense animal magnetism that made it hard to look away.

It’s awkward to be so critical but we have to call a spade a spade. I don’t think anyone would go out of their way to describe him as very average looking, but if we are told he is the sexiest man on Broadway it seems natural to raise an eye brow. Pick any Broadway leading man up to age 35 and you can almost garantuee they are probably sexier than Ben Platt.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
How about Jordan Fisher? During the shooting scene in Hamilton when he leans back, he certainly showed us how “blessed” he was.....and why he needed either a dance belt or compression shorts lol
