I'm surprised that I am the only person who said TARZAN.
"I'm tellin' you, the only times I really feel the presence of God are when I'm having sex and during a great Broadway musical." - Nathan Lane - Jeffrey
Im sorry, I realize why all the critics loved it and all but I couldnt take it. I was there on opening night with all the celebrities and red carpet and was so excited to be there and had a headache and wanted to just leave by the time it was over.
TUTS' Production of Cats last year. It was sooo boring. If anyone on here was in it...sorry. And I saw it opening night, so it may have gotten better..but I thought it was pretty boring. Except for Ken Page...he was AMAZING

Not anymore Nathan. It gets my vote as well, but I am also surprised it took 100+ responses to see this one. After the first 5 minutes, I could have easily fallen asleep and been OK not having wasted another moment of my life on THAT show.

I agree with you. When Polly Holliday played Amanda in the Guthrie's 1988 Guthrie revival of The Glass Menagerie, I left after a half hour. I left Merry Wives of Windsor at intermission, because it was a complete mess. I had to pee desperately so I left Parade before intermission, too. When MN Opera destroyed Camina Burana, I tried, gave it 15 minutes and left. The lobby was full!
Hands down, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming with Gary Sinese back in the early 80s. I couldn't get the pistol far enough into my mouth. I still have flashbacks when I watch CSI:NY.
Okay, CHESS. I saw it just three days ago, the first act couldn't have been slower. I was waiting to hear 'Anthem', but it actually wasn't that great when they finally sang it. Second act wasn't too bad.
COPACABANA: I fell asleep at the beginning of the second act when I first saw it. However, I Loved it on the 2nd time, must have just been tired.
I have some faint and distant memory of hating hating HATE-ING ANYTHING GOES when I was young(er), but i actually really like it now, tastes change.
The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.
Derek Mahon
"Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets."
A Man for all Seasons is a fascinating play to watch, but I just can't finish reading the play.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
