I would really like to see this without paying $100 plus. Are they keeping the current rush policy or does anyone think tickets will be available from tkts?
Someone on ATC claims that the entire Darren Criss run is practically sold out? I only checked the first performance it is basically sold out (I could only find 2 premium tickets in total)..not sure if it reflects the other performances of course. But if it is true I guess it won't be on TDF?
If it is also true I am very surprised, I didn't think many people knew or cared who he was..
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Can we please retire this "H2$" abbreviation. Considering the word "to" doesn't even reflect the numeric form of the word, and it makes everyone sound like 13 y/o valley girls.
Isnt' he only performing for 3 weeks? With only 24 performances, I wouldn't be suprised if it DOES sell out....however, I have no desire to see Criss OR the Jonas-boy.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I think people are using it because it was actually part of the artwork during the revival with Matthew Broderick. That's where it comes from if you did not know.
"The price of love is loss, but still we pay; We love anyway."
B) If it was sold out there would be no rush tickets since there would be no seats.
C) If they are selling out and can get full price for each ticket there would be no need to have a rush since it would make more sense for them to make as much money as possible.
D) There are cheaper seats upstairs still available that I would suggest buying if you do not want to pay $120+ to see the show.
And I'm for keeping the H2$ abrv.... why would we ever want to write out such a long title? Plus it's a fitting tribute to the far superior revival in the 90's.
Yikes! No idea this would be selling so well! My girlfriend will bascially cry if we miss this. I guess I'll be shelling out the money for full price tix. Early birthday gift!
I read on Playbill that so far only Darren's opening night is completely sold out, but there is limited ticket availability for the rest of his run. I think there would be rush tickets, but I am not sure.
Unlike some shows, How to Succeed does NOT set aside tickets specifically for rush. They just sell whatever is left. In the case of his first night, that will be none. Unless there are last minute cancellations possibly.
Eek, I definitely didn't realize How To Succeed didn't set aside rush tickets! This changes things, because I was planning to just rush it for Darren...
I guess if it's selling really well the chances of TDF are pretty slim too, aren't they? :/
I guess I'll have to see how things are closer to when I'll be back in NY (starting next Friday) and hopefully if nothing else they'll have some cheaper seats in the back.
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
Box office staff will say whatever will get you out of their face fastest.
When you go back tomorrow the man will tell you they don't set aside rush seats.
Its just how box office staff are.

"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Why would the woman at the box office lie? Shouldn't she say no rush tix are set aside, so the person was asking about it would want to buy right away? So you are saying she's lying, so you don't buy the tix until rush tix time? Doesn't make sense at all.
Can anyone who lives there please go to the box office or call to double check?
I plan to get rush seat on Jan 14...now I'm worried.
The website says there are a limited number of rush seats available for $30 beginning when the box office opens-limit 2 per person. It does not say based on availability, so I assume they have them at every performance.
I didn't mean to upset anyone, but box office staff are notorious for changing policies based on their moods. There are countless threads where one person was told one thing and someone else another.
