Same and for Mercedes Ruehl as well. :/ I'm thrilled Torch Song got nominated for Best Play revival though!
I was also surprised about Mockingbird not getting Best Play nomination. I thought it would have been between Ferryman and Mocknigbird to win Best Play but obviously not given Mockingbird wasn't even nominated.
The TKAM snub seems like the only shocker. Anything else?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Well, there’s no 12 year olds on the nominating committee, so...
I'm happy Andy Grotelueschen is nominated for his charming performance, and I'm happy Patrick Page finally has a nomination after years of solid performances..
My avatar = A screencap from Avatar, arguably the greatest animated show of all
- surprised Be More Chill was shut out entirely except for score; its score had its moments, and Salazar was great.
- the Oklahoma! love didnt really carry through for Rebecca Naomi Jones or Patrick Vaill.
- Lilli Cooper was lovely but that nomination is somewhat ridiculous given how little she is given to do- and makes me think Tootsie has a better shot than we thought this year (though the lack of nomination for John Behlmann is disappointing)--- I have heard time and again that Leslie Kritzer steals the show...
- interesting they reached back to Janet McTeer to pass over Glenda Jackson
A lot to celebrate but some head scratching/weird things:
They REALLY loved AIN'T TO PROUD...
Thrilled for the Jeremy Pope double nomination.
I understand why Rebecca Naomi Jones has been divisive, but the snub for Patrick Vaill in OKLAHOMA! is really a shame. After Stroker he was the highlight for me.
7 nominations for GARY but Lane couldn't crack the line-up.
This is the second time Ruth Wilson is her play's sole nominee.
Is 9 now the most nominations received by a production that wasn't nominated for one of the top categories?
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
-So excited and shocked for Lilli Cooper and Caitlin K.!
-Glad that Be More Chill at least gotten Best Score. Their songs never left my head. Disappointed that George didn't get in. The fandom must be raging.
-Really happy that all of the Temptations got nominated though. Good for them!
-Really kicking myself for not seeing ATP at the Kennedy Center last year.
-Shout outs to Samantha Barks and Sophie Ann Caruso. They deserved to be nominated so much!
-Glad to see King Kong got a bit of love.
-Disappointed Leslie didn't get in, but Mary Testa must have been worth the slot then.
I most underestimated Ain’t Too Proud and Beetlejuice. I’m so excited for Caitlin Kinnunen! The fact that Lilli Cooper got in even thought her role is so poorly written proves she’s AMAZING. More surprised by Andy Grotelueschen, I don’t understand the love for the performance. Also proud of Ali Stroker!
