Just got this email from the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust...WOOHOOO!!!
When the world and life as we knew it turned upside down at the beginning of March, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust was forced to delay many events, including the announcement of our 2020-2021 PNC BROADWAY IN PITTSBURGH Season.
We want you to know that the cancelled and postponed Pittsburgh Cultural Trust events of this spring really are just an intermission, and we are working diligently every day to welcome you, our PNC BROADWAY IN PITTSBURGH family, back into the Cultural District when the environment is safe and healthy.

and teasing Hadestown!
I am curious what this means for some of the shows for the Vancouver season. Will Chicago still exist on tour by the fall? Anastasia early next year? Jesus Christ Tour?

Most definitely HADESTOWN. Very interested to see what the season add-ons are going to be. Hopefully we’ll have a fantastic season we can actually attend. Now I have reason to look forward to a Monday. LOL
The SPONGEBOB Tour has ended due to the virus. Sad, I loved the Broadway production and wanted to see this
In a bit of good news, Anastasia which was originally scheduled to play Louisville March 17-22, has been officially rescheduled to August 4-9. I didn’t doubt it would come back around, but I truly expected it to be the non-equity production in another season. Unless they tack more cancelled engagements on after ours, we are (as of right now) the closing city of the equity tour.
the Chicago tour is canceled up until June 5.

We, Jacksonville, have it scheduled for the end of April. They have not cancelled or postponed it as yet. Although I would prefer, the equity tour, I just want to see it. So if it ends up the nonequity tour, so be it.

Overall a solid season. Hamilton being in season and not an extra was a surprise. My Fair Lady was the odd one since it’s been touring a while. Odd that Frozen hasn’t come in yet.
^ ^ ^ VERY happy with the Pittsburgh 2020/2021 season. Definitely re-subscribing. Got a call from them yesterday confirming the dollar amount of The Band’s Visit cancellation that will be credited towards this new season. First show is in late August so I’m hoping the worst is over by then and we can go back to attending performances.

We haven’t seen Frozen come to Orlando yet either. Can’t say I’m surprised though, it took us YEARS to get Aladdin haha

Jacksonville announced today their season without dates. They included it with their (finally) announcement that our Anastasia stop is cancelled. Kind of bummed on that. Another college has a mini series that normally brings nonequity tours. So maybe they will schedule for their series, or 2022. Jacksonville's series is yawn....Cats, Come From Away, Fiddler On the Roof, Dear Evan Hanson and Mean Girls.

Heard a rumor that due to COVID -19, Cher Show will be postponing until the ‘21-‘22 Touring Season.
Hearing the same about TOOTSIE. Though it might be outright canceled and not postponed.

It would seem like this phased approach to re-opening the country will kill most, if not all, tours for awhile as it will be hard to plan which phase which cities will be in. Plus if a city is in Phase 3 then sees a re-emergence of cases, they’d revert back to pre-Phase 1. Even in Phase 3, there would have to be modified procedures.

Our series has rescheduled our cancelled March Hamilton dates to the first two weeks, September 2021. A long time to wait. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the first week in September, historically, has a hurricane/tropical storm form in the Atlantic or Gulf for my area and the Florida panhandle.

Charlotte's Blumenthal Theatre announced April 5 though with the last few messages I shouldn't get my hopes up:

A few interesting observations from today:
-North Charleston, SC announced their season today with Oklahoma! playing on January 29-31, 2021. I didn't realize they were splitting weeks in their first season, so maybe they're going non-equity? They are presenting Hamilton in 21/22, so that's cool for them.
-All of the Canadian stops for Wicked were cancelled, even the stop in Ottawa in August/September.
-Providence sent an interesting note via email that might be telling about what's potentially happening for them (and possibly other venues):
"We have not yet sent out our renewal subscription packages for our upcoming Broadway season, as we are currently working on revisions for both the 2020/20201 Taco/The White Family Foundation Broadway Series and the Encore Series. We will share updated information with you about both Series as soon as possible."
It seems logical that ATP would be moved, given that a lot of venues are either postponing or cancelling shows into June/July, but how would that affect the rest of the tour stops is anyone's guess. I'm hoping other new shows don't have delays, but it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility at this point.

I know with all of this crazy going on its hard to get any information but I've been trying to find out if the ferryman is getting a tour like they said they would so far i haven't seen any info regarding a season with the play. The Ferryman was a fantastic show and i really want the chance to see it again but i really don't know what's happening.

Unfortunately I don’t believe a tour will be happening, but the first regional production will be at the San Francisco Playhouse next season
It was announced today that the 2020/2021 season for Toronto is being pushed until January 2021. It still lists the 3 shows cancelled from Fall 2020 as part of the season, so I assumed rescheduled, only 1 was a US tour (Jesus Christ Superstar), and the others being premieres for Toronto (Love Never Dies, and Pressure). They also have postponed Harry Potter and the Cursed Child until 2021...so who knows what will happen.
