In another season, Michael Stuhlbarg could be walking away with the Best Actor Tony.
I didn't see Tom Hollander in London, but Stuhlbarg is doing astonishing work here and grounds that play with his humane performance of an incredibly complex man. I don't love that play, but he keeps it interesting.
After just seeing ILLINOISE, it's a travesty that Ubeda isn't in the lead category.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I mean, if the Tony were for most acting, I’d agree with you. I personally found it a bit much

Ubeda is absolutely getting a Tony nom. 100% no doubt.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. What about them?
They are all eligible and if the nominating committee feels they have elements worthy of a nomination, they'll be nominated.
Doubt OHIO would get many (if any), but I personally think HERE LIES LOVE still stands to get 5 to 10 noms considering the general weirdness of the season, ambitiousness, and a lot of "nominate-able" elements.

Ok it's clear you love Ubeda and Ilinoise but what's your problem with Radcliffe? It's the third time you look down on his performance and no matter how hard you try to make Ubeda the frontrunner in the Best Featured Actor category, he isn't because the actors in Merrily have the reviews, the success and the narrative to win, also don't forget that Broadway is very inclusive and probably Radcliffe will get votes because of his trans community support. Don't underestimate an actor to praise another

Kara Young being passed over for the third time would be insane... but she really wasn't my favorite performance in this category. I generally admit to not like Purlie as much as everyone else, but this category does feel especially strong. I'd definitely give it to Pigeon or Benhamou over Young.

Mine: Here Lies Love for Best Musical
"
Design nominations for Illinoise (surprise Scenic design nom in addition to Lighting and Sound)
Book of a Musical for Illinoise
Featured actor nominations for Ricky Ubeda and Ben Cook
Basically I’m hoping for 10 Nominations for Illinoise: Musical, Book, Direction, 2 Featured Actor, Choreography, Orchestration, Lighting, Sound and Set.
I know I’m stretching with Set Design but the question is what would make me happy and 8-10 nominations would really make me happy. This show deserves it.
Now that I think about it, I’d really love to have Heart of RnR get some love on Tuesday. It won’t because it’s cornier than the rest (excuse the Shucked callback), but it has heart and it’s a ton of fun. Plus the show really needs it. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed.

I completely agree! She was good but I wasn’t that impressed with Kara’s performance as well. Francis Benhamou was marvelous in Prayer. Her lines were insane! And on top of all the things she was saying I was totally convinced on her convictions. Her performance was so real. She was firing on all cylinders and I was captivated by her. It was as if I was eavesdropping on a conversation between two people debating behind me at a cafe.
I am expecting a huge SURPRISE nomination that we are not expecting or oversaw. Thoughts? Wondering what could it be? (Example: Nikki M James in The Book of Mormon)

I doubt any of Dan's connections to the trans community would have anything do with his winning of a Tony. Few people even know he has any. We enjoyed his performance. We did not think it was nearly as good as Jonathan or Lindsay's. He was a serviceable fit to the group. They have a nice "narrative" for their show and as "friends" based on their characters the show.
The difference for us is Dan could be replaced with any other actor/semi-singer and no one notice the difference other than Potter fans. He helps sell the show to tourists. We saw both Dan and and an understudy. The role was much better sung with the understudy and the "friendship" just as in tact. It was made clear the glue was Groff & Mendez and the "celebrity" driver, Radcliffe. I have nothing against his performance but the better understudy made things clear.
Ubeda has a charm, undeniable talent and energy that's much harder to replace - and needs no "celebrity" to achieve that. Illinoise has the same strong "narrative" and reviews now, as does Ubeda, and recent one. It's a valid opinion.
DOWAR, along with both lead actors and a lighting nom.
Danielle Radcliffe, not that I think he will or should win, but because the Tonys have overlooked too many of his previous performances. (Note: I do thing he EARNED the nom with this performance.)
Ricky Ubeda a nom.
And BEBE!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
