Ahh...that's soo awesome, I'm soo excited, I always thought they should have a Broadway night! Here's hoping they don't mess up great songs and Simon gives Broadway the respect it deserves!
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

This better be f*cking true. I'll "disappear" from rehearsal for that hour, then.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

This is gonna be awesome. I was hoping they would do a Broadway theme! Lets hope the song choices are good.

Someone better tape this so we have it on record and can review things later on. Plus, I may miss it...Hopefully not.

I would actually like to see Nadia do Out Tonight or Anwar do ICY Reprise.
But out of all the choices I doubt all will be from the same show :).

I really hope this is true...I've been waiting and hoping for a broadway night of American Idol. Seeing Constantine sing something from Rent would totally make my week. But then again, just seeing that gorgeous man sing makes my week anyway...yummm...

I'd like to see Bo sing 'Hair' not sure if it fits him vocally though.

While this would be really cool, it wouldn't make a lot of sense. How many times have the judges used the phrase "too Broadway" as a negative criticism?!

Are they having guest judges? I wonder who they would have on. Carol Channing would be a riot, even though it would never happen. If they have a guest judge it would probably be Adam Pascal or Eden Espinosa or something like that.

Well they don't have guest judges anymore...
but
Eden has a show lol
Anyway, I'm either very excited, or extremely dissapointed. I'm not sure why.

If Constantine (or anyone except Scott) sings Glory, I will die. Period. But I can all but guarantee there will be one from Rent, as its one of the more popular musicals of our time.

I doubt anyone will sing from Dreamgirls. Nadia certainly can't sing it and I don't even want to hear her attempt it. On second thought maybe she should sing "And I'm Telling You..." so we can finally get rid of her.
Vonzell could possible be right to sing One Night Only but that song doesn't really go anywhere vocally.

Oh, so now the judges can mock Broadway? That should be fun. They've mocked musical theatre constantly on that show, and it seems odd that they would actually choose something, probably just to mock it the whole time.
