Didn't realize I need to check the Telecharge site, not Broadway.com. Harsh lesson but at least I hadn't spent my money yet!
Edit: Never mind, on Telecharge with fees, the cheapest I can get for balcony seats is $111, and those are on the aisle. I can get center balcony seats on Broadway for $107. Guess that's what I'm gonna have to do.
OK, an hour and 18 minutes later, I got orchestra tickets, by phone, for my 10th date of choice.
This was a terrible procedure. All the other dates showed up as unavailable. Already unavailable, with the lines just open? That really stinks. The operator said she believed ticket brokers were flooding online purchasing and scooping up a lot of tickets. And...that's probably true. I could NOT order tickets online, kept getting unavailable message. Awful system and process.
Edited to add: Just got an email saying my request for Group Tickets (I gave them four dates) was unavailable. At least I got enough for my core group to go today over the phone. Glad I didn't hold out for Group tickets! I am sick of this whole thing.
I'm not taking the bait. They've obviously released a very limited number of seats for each performance. More and better seats will be available within the next couple weeks.

Did Telecharge tell you that?"
Unsurprisingly, a lot of shows are known to do that. Especially shows with "names" in the cast. Hell, just the other day, I bought a front row ticket to THE FRONT PAGE ffor a performance the week after it opens. Those tickets went on sale months ago.
While they are obviously creating ticket scarcity, waiting for further ticket releases for an "event" production like this brings the risk of higher prices. This show can get away with much higher prices than what the have now.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Center orchestra row M for Friday April 21. I'm as excited for the show as I am learning the BWW guys who will be in the audience for the same performance.
Started at the website at 10am sharp and just kept at it when there were no open sessions. Got through at about 10:05 and accepted the first seating option they offered me. (It's funny . . . I was going to write that it took about 15 minutes because that's how long it felt, but I just checked the confirmation email and it has a time stamp of 10:08.)
I'd say the experience went as well as I could have hoped, although the site never seems to accept my password on the first or second try. That's infuriating. As everyone has probably experienced, if you use the "forgot password" option or are locked out because of excessive tries, you lose the tickets that are temporarily saved for you.
I like center row M. It's often the first row after the premium seats (although I don't know if they're premium in this case because I asked for the best available) so the price is relatively sane, plus the view and sound are practically perfect to my untrained eyes and ears.
Woo hoo! 2016-2017 will be a great year of theater.

I'm waiting it out with DOLLY, too.

I don't think Front Page is selling well. I got a discount flyer for it. I don't think that will be the case with Dolly
Just an FYI- I had a lot of trouble finding any seats on the website, but when I used my phone, I was able to find great seats for every date I searched.

I couldn't get through at 10 am. Very annoying. However, my boyfriend was sitting behind me on his computer and got us 2 orchestra seats for the 8pm April 22nd performance. Yay!
I got 4 seats, front row mezz, for a Saturday night in April. My tip for those using the website, keep hitting the "Other Seats On This Date" button if you don't like the first ones...my seats didn't come up until about the third try.
Was that before fees or after? Both sites I checked said $79 was the face value of the ticket and the original price, but after fees the ultimate amount I wuold pay would be $111 on Telecharge, $107 on Broadway.com. Was there a way to get them without the fees? Kind of mad if I screwed myself over, but worst case scenario that just means I paid an extra $25 I guess.
Anyway, now I'm seeing Hello Dolly from G101 rear balcony for the 8 PM show on May 27th, the Saturday night during Memorial Day Weekend. Hope that seat won't be too bad. Guess I'll make another trip out of it and try to see 3 other show sfor the Sat matinee and both slots on Sunday. Not sure how bad Rushing or TKTS availabilty will be then since while I've read Memorial Day is one of the weekends not as many people go to the theater, liek Labor Day Weekend (when I made my last trip), it sounds like this would be right after Tony Nominations would be announced.
I can't see Audra accepting the alternate role. First replacement, yes.
Me neither. But, after all, she's going to have an infant she'll want to be with. A nanny could watch the baby for two afternoons a week...
I mean, not that I think it's Audra or anything!
I mean, REALLY!
(Although she absolutely could fill the house twice a week.)
(And, OMG yes! Lillias White's "So Long, Dearie" would be wonderful.)
No problems PalJoey--much easier to block me ,but am sure you read all my messages and understand how your pompous attitude caused this unfortunate dialogue--we are both individuals and learning as we go in this world whatever our age or gender . There is still LOTS for both of us to enjoy and love from this wonderful world of theatrical make believe.
SweetLips.....18/9/2016--yes we even put our dates back the front.

After fees I think it was $89. My total was $178 for two tickets. I got mine on telecharge
I was reading all these comments on the alternate "Dolly" and the rumors like Pearl Bailey would be proud, so maybe they are considering Whoopi Goldberg, she would definitely sell tickets and they could even turn it into an all African-American cast when Bette leaves. Therefore, "I heard it's Whoopi; (but I heard that from my husband).
