If you are planning to dress up as a Broadway (or Off-) character this year, who will it be, and how will you creatively pull it off, assuming you don't have a whole costume department available?
As for me, in honor of the upcoming resurrection of "Carrie," I'm going to dust off my old prom dress and go crazy with the fake blood. I was Mrs. Lovett a few years ago, and baked meat pies for the occasion.
Fun times. Share yours!
I saw Sweeney two years ago!

I'm going to be Munkustrap from "CATS". I'll post a pic later.
A few years ago I went as Marcy Park. I spent about $6 at Goodwill finding a plaid skirt and a white shirt, and less than $1 at Beverley's to find a ribbon to make a bow for my hair. It was a lot of fun, even though all my co-workers thought I was just some private school girl.
I was going to go as Spiderman, but I broke both my feet when I tried on the costume.
I'm going as Sally Bowles this year.
I used my Ernie puppet from Sesame Street and dressed all in black and went as Nicky from Avenue Q :)
I had a party last night and dressed as Charley Kringas from Merrily We Roll Along :)

Sooo… what's everyone going as this year?
Glad there was a thread on this before I made a new one! I was the Phantom last year and kind of want to be Sweeney Todd or something... any other suggestions for costumes at affordable prices?
I'm going as a Mormon
Short sleeve white shirt, black tie, black pants, dress shoes, and copy of the BOOK OF MORMON script.
It's Halloween! At least go as a zombie Mormon.

I'm not sure yet... but my friends are going to be Mormon missionaries as well. :)

I am going as Patti LuPone- I have a large piece of drywall to gnaw on. God help anyone who tries to take my picture.
Does Frank N. Furter count as a Broadway costume, or is that just de rigueur weirdness?

I bought Bernadette's Follies earrings at the flea market...maybe I'll just put those on and throw on a pink dress and call myself Sally.
Or a red dress and go as the Kennedy Center production.
Decisions decisions...
