I'm pretty sure he was born in DE but moved there later, so I guess both are sort of valid.

re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?

Omaha, Nebraska

He's not a Broadway star, but Scott Porter (original Matthew in Altar Boyz and going to be starring in Friday Night Lights on NBC this fall) is from here.

John Lloyd Young also lived here for 4 or 5 years and pretty much got his start in acting here. re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?

re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?

Umm..my teacher taught Mandy Patinkin and now my teacher lives in my town..you could say a star is from my hometown then, separated by a degree :P

Otherwise, no re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Michele Dowdy (current Tracy Turnblad u/s) graduated from my arts school in St. Pete, Florida, last year.
I think the girl who's playing Amber in the movie is from Tampa too.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Norbert Leo Butz lives in a town near mine. But I have never seen him. sad.
<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.

-Dre-
You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.
~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.
~Curtains~

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?

Cincinnati- Vicki Lewis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Lachey

I'm sure there are more but those are the first ones I think of. A lot of stars like Shoshana Bean, Pam Meyers, and Ben Mangeson have graduated from CCM at University of Cincinnati.
If Percy Blakeney were in Les Mis....

Percy: Sink me! If it isn't Javvurt!
Javert: Zsah-vair, it's pronounced Zsah-vair.
Pecry: But it's spelled J-A-V-E-R-T Javvurt.
Javert: Repeat after me Zsah...Zsah....
Percy: Oh! Zsa-Zsa! Like the Gabor sister! Well I personally have always prefered Eva.
Javert: (Looks for gun)

re: Broadway Stars From Your Hometown?

Nobody... basically.
The closest is Gavin Creel... he's from Findlay and I live in Toledo.
I guess I could claim Katie Holmes in general, but she's... not talented... or on Broadway (which is a good thing).

Here's a story though. Katie and Tom will be here in a few weeks. My friend is caddying their golf game. And my sister is serving their dinner.
Yeah, her family is really nice... her dad works with my dad... I can't understand what happened to her.
