Once I get refunds think it’s safe buying Six and Company tickets for late May? Surely those productions don’t close (I know Company’s producer said it won’t)

No one knows. A lot of things I've read seem to think this thing could be at its worst in May/June. I can't imagine that April 12th date won't be extended.

I have a trip to the city planned for May 28-31. As of right now I'm holding out hope.
Then there's this y'all...THIS is what is possible if this continues to spread and possibly overwhelm our crappy healthcare system. It's so obvious the US didn't do nearly enough in time. It's why S.K. is doing mostly ok. They stopped it in it's tracks. We didn't.

Lead producer Chris Harper and another producer Ken Fakler have both said Company will return. Several cast members have said the same thing on social media. It’s not a show that relies on tourists and that’s their biggest advantage right now. Six and Company are definitely two of the safest new shows in terms of retuning after this shut down, even if it gets extended.
How much costs are these shows racking up week-per-week in this shutdown. For example, do they have to pay rent, actors etc.? My fear is if it goes on for too long shows like Company might just run out of money to re-open....
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Actors go on unemployment, I believe. Time will tell in theater OWNERS demand payment while dark.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

We’re adapting as quickly as we can to this situation and understand the disappointment and frustration you have experienced in the past 24 hours. A member of our team will contact you to offer an exchange or refund within the next 30 days. Rest assured that we will get back to you. Our shows are unfortunately cancelled, but our staff is here for you. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work through this challenging period to best serve our patrons.
We have a dedicated page on our website which we will update as soon as we have new information. We look forward to welcoming you at the beautiful Hudson Theatre in the near future.
I am also nervous about Woolf, but Russell Tovey posted on IG that they will be back. Obviously that’s not a formal announcement, and anything can happen, but I felt a tiny bit reassured hearing that from a cast member.
Also I believe Woolf is scheduled to run until August, so I imagine this wouldn’t effect it too badly. I believe The Conners films in the Fall. I would also hope that Rudin would really fight for this show — he must know that he has an extraordinary, probably Tony winning performance in it.
Woolf could win Actress and Revival of a Play this season so I'm expecting them to fight for it, but I just worry if this cancellation lasts past April 12th.
A question for those more knowledgeable about the business part of Broadway than I (and probably many of us here) am:
I assume the productions/theatres/theatre owners/etc all have various types of insurance. Wouldn't this include some type of business interruption insurance that would cover the current circumstances? If so, it might help avoid the lost income from causing shows to be unable to reopen (I'm using the term "reopen" to include shows like Six and Company which have not "opened" officially but have started previews). I know 9/11 caused a lot of shows to close, but my recollection is that was due to decreased travel rather than Broadway being shuttered for a few days.
I heard back from BAM and Lungs is now scheduled for Mar 31-Apr 19. I really hope they change this and try to move to new dates. The cast and crew shouldn't have to rehearse while everyone else is social distancing.

I can only speak to this as someone on the board of a local theater company, but we indeed have event cancellation insurance that kicks in if we must cancel performances or a production outright. But just like personal travel insurance, there are exceptions in terms of getting coverage, what price is charged, and what % of costs the payout would be.
I was able to get a refund for Plaza Suite by going to to the box office. I still think it is absurd that they are not automatically initiating refunds...
