If you already have tickets for this show, you'll be lucky if it closes before the date printed on your tickets. Be careful about wanting to see something because the reviews say it's awful and you want a "good laugh." I did that once and was bored out of my mind. Reviews of truly bad shows tend to be more entertaining than the objects of their ridicule!

Besides the fact that people will be out of work, I honestly have no issue if it closes before May 13th. I have pretty much zero interest in it and am only going because a friend is dying to see it (it will be his first Broadway show, we are then seeing Skylight that night). If it closes, at least we will be able to see something like Hand to God or Something Rotten instead.
The critics had their knives out tonight.Do not always believe universal reviews good or bad.Mormon got universal raves and we hated it with a passion.
Having seen the show only in Sydney, it was terrible there too (as I have somewhat relentlessly complained on here). Australia is not very critical towards musicals.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Some reviewers seem to get hard when really roasting a show and pouring gasoline on the fire. A simple I did not care for it would suffice but not to these guys.
I have no respect whatsoever for this group of untalented hacks.

You didn't like Mormon Roxy? How come you've never mentioned this before?
Australian critics really say anything bad about anything, they get paid by the producers to review the shows, it could by the worst thing ever and an Australian critic will still find something nice to say about or talk about who was there on opening night!
Reviews in Australia are not worth the paper they are printed on!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.
