She never saw the Midler Dolly, and she and Bette are friendly (Bette went to hear her sing; Barbra went to see her in "I'll Eat You Last," about her friend and ex-agent.). So I doubt this would be on her radar.

I think it will depend on what the critics say. If the show gets glowing reviews, she’d probably show up and give support, but if the opposite happens, she may not want to have to give her opinion. She’s not one to mince words.
I’m trying to find the information but I can’t seem to find it. Does anyone know the dates of when Beanie will be off? I have a ticket to see her but I’d also love to see her understudy or standby!

Duh yourself. I was pointing out that a fabulous production overall of Company can trump what you assert are people's desires to see such strong singing. If Funny Girl is a strong overall production perhaps the same will be true with it even if Feldstein's singing isn't what some or many people expect. Or maybe it will be its downfall.

For me, I want strong vocals AND great acting because yes we can have it both ways. Those people do exist. She maybe a fabulous actress, but the nasal musical theater undergrad belting isn’t for me.

Yes! She will not perform from April 29 through May 2 and from Aug. 26 through Aug. 28. What a coincidence my tix are for those dates. Cannot wait to see Ramin, Jane and Jared!
Fanny & Barbra and the Legacy of 'Funny Girl' and now Beanie
"Funny Girl" is finally coming back to Broadway for the first time since its original production. This episode talks about the life of Fanny Brice, the rise of Barbra Streisand, and the making of "Funny Girl".
I doubt Barbra will see it. I feel like she doesn't care about this. However, I feel like she will send Beanie roses with a "passing the baton-esque" card, and we'll get an Instagram post, and press release.

Good Lord. How boring does that all look. Where's the Glitz and the Glamour? Maybe someone is still sewing somewhere East of Broadway.. Black and red? Really!"
I'd rather have the Big Gulp that's on the counter....

Put on your glasses, hun! The photo is Merch. It doesn't mean the set and costumes are going to be black and red.
Of course it is the Merch you silly sausage-black and red[and yellow]. Who's talking about the set? Not me, only you.

We are now accustomed to Wicked, Phantom, Moulin Rouge style vocals. That’s what audiences want. I get she might be a strong actress - and she’s been great in stuff I’ve seen her in - but a powerhouse she is not. But maybe we will be surprised? I was excited to see Lenk perform… but it wasn’t for me."
I think we learned that some people on this board have preferences for certain types of vocals. I'm not sure how widespread that feeling is among the people who have been packing it at Company for months now."
Because it’s a fantastic show and production! Duh!"
I'm surprised Barbra hasn't made any comment about this production so far, when Lauren Ambrose was cast in the aborted Bart Sher revival she had mentioned something nice, but non-committal, to acknowledge her casting in an interview. As we approach her 80th Birthday, if she gives some sort of interview, I could see her being asked about it.
As far as I know, Barbra Streisand also never went to see Jonathan Tolins' award-winning show, ''Buyer and Cellar,'' which was about a fictional actor/Streisand fan who worked in her basement. Not even when it played L.A.

58 years. Has a show took that long between a first production and a revival?

Took 49 years for BYE BYE BIRDIE. Original Broadway production was in 1960 and it’s very first Broadway revival was in 2009.

Poor woman. She hasn’t seen a show on Broadway for decades. Thank God for Door Dash to deliver her favorite coffee ice cream or she’d be royally ph**ked.
