Gad posted on Instagram asking if people want a cast recording, so it seems like it’s coming. I sort of hate all the social media stuff that’s come along with this show including the guests, but I also kind of admire them for committing to it. Especially Gad. His laugh at the cheesy puns from the “producers” is a lot, but the man’s working. I know these seem like backhanded compliments, but I really do love it and hate it at the same time. Seems like it’s all working for them, so kudos on the commitment!

I'm curious why you "kind of hate all the social media stuff." Any show should be so lucky to be able to generate so much "free" content for their social media channels with such a wide array of celebrities to garner more and more interest in their otherwise unknown Broadway show to translate into ticket sales. What about it is irksome to you and what would you rather they do instead?
Did you feel the same with Oh, Hello having a new guest every night (and posting about it on social media)?
(If this reads defensive, it's not at all - I work in social media and in the industry so I'm genuinely curious what pushes your buttons about it.)
Since both stars are above the title, it's possible to get an exchange or refund if one is out, correct? Not sure if I should wait until closer to the performance to buy a ticket. Especially if there's a guest star I'd especially like to see. How early have they been teasing them?

Doesn’t sound defensive and I hope that in my post it came across as love/hate at the same times. I never saw “Oh Hello,” so I don’t have that to compare this to, but it just sometimes becomes a lot. So much so that it feels phony. I do really believe that these gentlemen enjoy working together, but the loud laughter at the guests’ puns (that definitely seem to be planned and rehearsed ahead of time) and over-the-top enthusiasm just doesn’t ring true when it’s constant. There’s a fine line in social media where enjoyable content becomes too much. That said, I am grateful that the gentlemen have put themselves out there with a clear desire to be successful and funny and enjoy some of the content.
Hillary Clinton was the producer yesterday, and I thought "how they gonna top that for the final show"--Audra comes close. Congrats to these two. It sold well, and was just so much stupid fun.
So what's next for this show? Could there be a tour? If Gad wants to get back to LA would Rannels join him there to do a run of the show?"
I think an LA run at some point is possible. I also could see a return engagement in NY in a year or so. It would be easy enough to re-mount if Gad & Rannells are interested.

I was there last night and when Audra stood up, I had no idea who she was. I vaguely know the name, but I know nothing about her. So it was a disappointing producer for me, but everyone else was going nuts so *shrugs*. I enjoyed the stupid fun of the show even if it did get a bit exhausting at times, but my mother, who had enjoyed listening to the cast recording on Spotify, hated every minute.

You have a BroadwayWorld account and don't know Audra McDonald. That's..........interesting.

I'd guess that IF there were to be a remount, they'd want to do it in the UK.

Not that interesting. I didn't recognize her when I saw her in Origin yesterday, because I've never seen her in anything. I only know who she is because I've been following this board for years. And it's not like she has been especially active or visible lately, so there's no reason why someone who's only been on this board for a few months would know her.
Was at the matinee yesterday, Alex Newell was the producer. They got a surprisingly strong round of applause. I'm sure people would've been like, who
Overall we enjoyed the show. I saw it off-broadway a million years ago, for the life of me couldn't remember anything about it except that I really enjoyed it. I do feel like Andrew and Josh's shtick and eagerness to make each other laugh got too distracting, especially in Act Two (a little Josh goes a long way for me) and it kind of made the score totally secondary. That said, the book is still really strong, really clever, and it's a great production.
It was also worth it to go to the Jones for the first time, could not believe the work that did to resurrect the house, and the annex was just as lovely. Though they really should consider bathroom monitors to control the crowds, it was getting confusing as the intermission lines went up the stairs.

Good for them recouping the $6.75M investment. The risk was spread out due to its multiple "co-lead producers" and co-producers, but a win's a win in this climate (even if the actual profit was minimal).
