I contacted them about the possibility that all of orch sold in 60 seconds as it was gone when I got in at 10 am. Mgr responded that none of orch was made available, but would not say why. They also said Moulin wasn't either. So the entire orch did not sell out. The boxes and upstairs did by end of day May 27. So the first few rows may become available, but I wonder if they'll just hold them as well."
Well the actor equity agreement says they must keep audience 10 ft from stage. If Jujam was keeping the 1st 3 rows empty per CDC, how many of those would be 10 ft? One row? All three? The rest of orch was not made available unless they're holding it back for the box office on Sept 2.
Still no "first 3 rows" availability word that I know of SoulMistin.
Broadway return and tour casts announced! Tom Hewitt will be joining the Broadway company as Hades, with Patrick Page returning on November 2 after finishing up a film project.
I was on the fence about spending the money on this again (Even though i love it) but Hewitt’s announcement is definitely gonna get me back in that theatre.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Hard to answer w/o seeing someone else in the role. My gut reaction was: damn! Hadestown was the show we wanted to see as our first return show.....and we'll miss seeing him...our tix are for Oct.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Page is a considerably stronger singer than Hewitt. I always question why Tom Hewitt works so much, because he is about as bland as you get and is usually cast in flops. He must really light up an audition room? It's odd casting...I would switch your tickets and wait til Page returns.
I think it would be interesting to see what a rock tenor (someone like Adam Pascal or Ramin Karimloo) would do with Hades in a transposed score.
I have tickets for the tour in November, and Nicholas Barasch as Orpheus? I didn't know he had the voice; his She Loves Me character was so dramatically different that this would be an interesting role to see him in.
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

Wasn't he like 17 in SLM? A lot can change in a young man's voice in 5+ years.
I will most certainly miss Kay Trinidad and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer big time........... their harmonies with Jewelle are mind-blowingly beautiful, and they each brought so much to the show

I was thinking the same! I have tickets for December but apparently Kay will be back in January. I wonder what Yvette will be doing though? She hasn't shared the casting news to her Instagram it seems.

I feel exactly the same way! I had no intention of seeing Hadestown by end of this year buuuuut I might have to now.
So excited they’ve announced the cast! Bummed I’ll miss Patrick when I go in September (haven’t seen the show before) but I looked up some videos of Tom Hewitt and he sounds great! And so happy Kimberly will be joining the tour - I loved her take on Persephone in the Tiny Desk concert last year.
you found your heart but left a part of you behind <3
At the very least, Hewitt has been cast in a hit. Can't wait to hear what he does with Hades.
Anyone know why Kay Trinidad and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer are not returning?
Edited: I just found out Trinidad is returning in January, according to her Instagram. She’s taking care of her baby (who is the cutest!). No word yet on Gonzalez-Nacer.
