Maybe the whole point is that you can't hear it properly so it incentivizes you to buy a ticket to actually get both sides of the performance (I'm only half joking)

And good luck competing with any blaring ambulance stuck on 8th Avenue. At least the Palladium is basically surrounded by quiet lanes and the busiest nearby streets will be relatively tame."
Should this production come to NYC (which I think it has a high possibility of doing so next spring) They might have to get some way to quiet the background noise outside, I’ve heard he’s gonna be using some of his same Sunset collaborators including sound designer Adam Fisher and video designers Nathan Amzi and Joe Ransom. However unlike Sunset, I’ve heard there’s gonna be a tiny bit more of a set which will be designed by Es Devlin

Indeed, you won't hear anything on the street. There is no music whatsoever. A softly sung a capella song on a high balcony will be drowned out by the street noise. So I guess the novelty of visiting that street to just see her standing there for a moment will wear off quickly.
The same result can be reached with a promo photo of her standing on a balcony.
