I tried again on my iPhone. This time I wasn’t logged in. I got a screen that wasn’t there before that asked me to log in if I was a member. Then everything worked. Super annoying but I still got great seats, so keep trying.

Going to move to Brooklyn the first weekend in April. Just got tix for Streetcar, Donmar Warehouse Cherry Orchard, and Berliner Ensemble Threepenny Opera for Friday eve and Saturday mat and eve. The scheduling gods were looking out for us out-of-towners. Very smooth members priority access for both theaters. Today I logged in at about 12:57 and was done by 1:10. I’ve had such bad luck with huge heads obstructing my view lately that I bought front row for all three.

I get the sense that Streetcar tickets will be sold out in minutes when the general sale happens. There are barely any orchestra seats left the night I’m going.

Sucks this won't be competing. Mescal's on his way to be the youngest Triple Crown winner on both sides of the pond.

What's the cheapest one for BAM?

I saw this at the Phoenix Theater in London for 40 pounds.

Not sure I wanna see it again with Patsy in the cast.

Has this production always had the same actors?

Lydia Wilson got injured during rehearsals and thus the first few previews were canceled. Unfortunately Lydia had to withdraw and Patsy replaced her.

Are we not into Patsy?

I know some people thought she seemed a little miscast. She's highly thought of in general and was said to be great in Summer and Smoke, but Alma is a different animal from Blanche.

She wasn't just great in Summer and Smoke - she gave one of the most unforgettable performances I've ever seen on any stage anywhere. The whole production was pretty incredible.

Patsy is great and should have won the Olivier along with Mescal.

I thought Patsy was pretty good in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf alongside Metcalf back in early 2020 before Broadway closed down.
I haven’t seen Streetcar and hope to get tickets when it opens up to general sale.

Someone commented on the highest price being $285. What are the other options? Thanks in advance.

Can you share what night of the week you got tickets for?  (I can't get Tix until the general sale, but can do mid week easily)

I finally got through yesterday. I think the key was to NOT log into your membership before going through the queue (though there is no queue right now). They made some changes and it's still finicky (don't try to enter your Amex preferred number!). It's selling really well. Better availability later in the run. But, I bet there will be slim pickings after the Amex presale and after members who couldn't buy yesterday finally get through. FYI, there are no performances 3/1-3, the weekend of the Oscars. Here's the cost breakdown with the higher number for Thu/Fri/Sat eve/Sun and the lower number for Tue/Wed/Sat mat. I'm rounding up with fees included:

Orch: 285/265, 235/209, 185/160, 160/135, partial view: 125/109

Upper Orch: 125/109, 99/89, 79/69, obstructed: 65/57

Balcony: 100/89, 79/69, 55/45

Jodie Comer was much better though.

Is the pre-sale sold out?  I logged in, entered the Amex code and everything says tickets unavailable.  What am I doing wrong?

Amex presale doesn't start until 12/5.

Thanks - I'm also a member and log in, but again, says tickets not available.

Same. Like I said above, don't try anything with Amex. I suggest clearing your cookies for Bam and starting over.

I also tried AMEX and failed.  On the seat map, there are several tix blocked for AMEX. However, the Orchestra does not have great availability so I decided to renew my membership and bought two tix.  The Balcony has a lot of availability for all the dates I checked but I have never been up there for any play so I decided not to purchase those.

Overacting doesn't make it good acting.

Possibly a silly question: Does anyone know if a membership allows you to purchase more than one ticket?  I couldn't see my way to doing this if I could get 2 Tix for Streetcar, but not if we each need to have a membership.

Also:  Does anyone know if they are holding tix for general sale?  I don't have an AmEx, and Dec 10 is far enough away that I'm nervous about tickets.

I thought Patsy was rather miscast as Blanche. As a type, she suggested more the school marm quality that perhaps Jessica Tandy had in the original, but the poetry of the Williams language was completely lost on her. Brits don't do Tenessee Williams very well IMO.
