I am really hoping this to be good. But have this feeling it will flop. I really want some good reviewed shows to come this season . Musical wise. The musical seen is more bleak then the Road Novel

going later on in the week - super curious amongst other things is that seating situation. Curious what songs are being used
cannot wait
A show can be great and flop, it can also suck and succeed.
I want it to be wonderful, but only time will tell. Seeing it in 2 weeks.

Truly wise words, dramamama611! See: Honeymoon in Vegas for the former, Summer for the latter!

Well Said Sister !!! Honeymoon in Vegas was a really really good show. Doesn't seem to be an audience for good old fashion Broadway shows anymore. If Honeymoon opened 10 12 years ago it would of been a Block Buster !!!
Oh yay a preview thread from someone different! Thanks!
I'll be heading up to Boston later this month for this one. Soooo excited and really hoping they live up to the brilliant film's legacy!

We have deleted a handful of posts in this thread because posters were in-fighting and attacking each other due to personal vendettas (that might be a bit strong of a word). Please refrain from hijacking threads with personal ill-will. Thank you very much. And to everyone seeing the show in Boston, I can't wait to read your thoughts.

You know, letting yourmod bosses know about messages is a little crooked and really low for someone like you! Just letting you know..."
FYI- no one flagged any messages in this thread. Due to the breaking "SpongeBob" news, we were online a bit later than a normal Sunday evening and saw the bickering. We also encourage anyone to report threads and posts that they believe violate our rules at anytime. Have a good night.
Dramaaaaaaa! Anyways, I think this show will be a huge hit or a massive failure. It has some of my very favorite actors in it, so I have high hopes for it. Sending good vibes to everyone who has worked so hard on it!

I have to agree with you, with just the song choices. I think people are gonna expect something really amazing with this cast. I hope it is. Sorry for the double post!

Folks, this thread is about the preview performance for Moulin Rouge. This is not the place to argue about each other's behavior on the message board. We have deleted posts from the three of you already tonight, and once I post this, we will delete more. Please refrain from these types of posts for the rest of the night, and in the future.
You can consider this a general blanket warning, and if you feel the need to continue with this line of posts, they will also be deleted, and we will take actions deemed appropriate.
As far as I know, the only person that works at BWW that starts threads (or even posts in them, other than moderating) is Rob, our founder and Editor-in-Chief, who posts the weekly grosses. Beyond that, I don't believe that any BroadwayWorld employees are active on the boards. Does that clear things up?
Also, while there are multiple moderators who keep an eye on the boards, we are not watching them like hawks 24/7. So the speed to which we address things is often happenstance. However, as I referenced before, if you believe that something violates our rules, you are welcome to report it, and then all moderators will receive an email, and will determine a course of action as soon as possible.
If you have further questions or feedback on this types of things, it is probably best to send it to contact[at]broadwayworld[dot]com, rather than disrupting an otherwise perfectly appropriate thread.
Guys, I can't wait to hear your reviews. Make sure to post them here after the show!
I’m so excited to see it later this week!

I myself was not a fan of the film, I thought it was a migraine to sit through. But with that aside, I am sort of curious to hear what those who did not like the film think of this stage adaptation.
I'm most excited to hear about the design elements. I can basically imagine what this will be story-wise (when a movie musical becomes a musical, the vibe is pretty much laid out), but I can't wait to know more about what it all looks like. It could either be stunning and win everything at the Tonys in the spring or be a big misfire (a la Frozen).

That will be me, Jeff. I don't remember much of the movie except that it felt like a slog. For some inexplicable reason, though, I am wicked excited to see this. I keep debating whether to try to sit thru the movie again before seeing it.
Seeing it later this week! Originally had tickets to the first week of previews and had to reschedule my whole trip with the delay. So my expectations are high, but I also know it’s an out of town tryout and probably will have room for changes/improvements. But mostly I’m just really, really excited to see this show.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and always thought it should be on Broadway. As time passed though, I became less and less interested in seeing in. If Karen Olivo remains with the show to Broadway, I would gladly pick up a ticket just to see her.

Can't wait. I'm heading to Boston to see it Thursday, Friday and Sunday eve (and also seeing Jagged Little Pill on Sunday). Anyone going on these shows?
